I went to check on our rabbits in the morning, and found a litter of rabbit kittens. One of our does gave birth during the night. She gave birth to 5 kits, one was found motionless. We lost a second two days later, the remaining three are looking great and we are very excited. We hope you enjoy the video. Where are you?
banana looking good
I have heard that Spanish Moss is not harmful to trees. You just tend to see more of it on trees that are already dying for another reason.
You have to respect the balance of nature. He plays a very important role in our ecosystem. Glad you didn't kill him like others would've
Good catch lol
That one your harvested last year has a lot of rind. It may not be ready.
I'm growing moon and stars now. I had to get some chicken wire to cover up the melons because we have a big problem with rodents. I'm not sure if it'll work but I know if I don't cover them up or completely encase them they'll get eaten.
im eating it rn its sooooo goodddddd Fun dact i never tried red pomegranate in my whole life
I love this review from a fellow Jamaican. I was considering if it made sense to try planting the Jerahdale pumpkin. I still would try it after the review just for my soups
Yes, this is the most straight to the point video, I've seen.
Did you try letting it cure for 10 to 15 days before eating once you harvest?
No, it sat for three days after harvest.
Where do you get the wood chips
The wood chips came from the guys clearing the power lines.
You have a lovely garden. There is something very satisfying about growing and tending your garden. Peace!
Thank you very much. The garden is such a relaxing place to be.
Is this grafted ?
I'm not sure, we bought it at a plant show.
Lovely
Thank you.
nice big bro
Thank you.
The spot is normal. Some have that spot.. called the MOON
Lol. It didn't occurred to me until later that day, that the spot might be the moon.
I love it so much 💗
It's really nice baked, or add whatever flavorings you want and cook in a covered vessel in a pressure cooker. Also, all the rain you had may have made it more soft. Color of the flesh is usually orange like a pumpkin.
Thanks for sharing. At first I didn't like this pumpkin at all, until I tried it in some chicken soup.
estan encerrados o libres. no entiendo.
Son libres, el dueño los deja ir y venir como quieran. Tiene más de 30 de ellos en el patio, vi algunos caminando por la calle.
Very. Pretty. Bird,👌 👌😊😊
Thank you very much 😀
What does it taste like?
It taste like regular asian pear, but with a hint of pineapple.
Thank you great video
Thank you!
They're the cutest! Merry Christmas to you!
Thank you.
Beautiful snake though
I thought so too!
Garter snakes aren’t poisonous
Thank you! I am glad to hear that!
Looks like a type of garter snake
Thank you! I was a little worried!
Is your june plum in ground
Yes, it is. It started in a 5 gallon bucket. It was about 6ft tall. However, the first winter beat it down. So we put it on the ground. Now it grows 3-4ft and produces every year.
How you get your banana looking so nice
Thank you. On hot days, we water every other day. On cooler days, we water 2-3 times a week. Removing the damaged leaves helps the plant looking and fruiting good. Adding heavy mulch to retain moisture and feed the plant at the same time has also been a contributing factor.
Blessings Brother from Te Waiponamu ( South island of New Zealand) First time here visiting your homestead 👍 I shall soon plant out my first Moon and stars and lady finger banana....we have some slight frost in my area come winter but temperature is rising. Shall also grow Yacon 🙏
Our melons did not do well this year because we planted them late in the season. The inconsistent heat and rain did not help. Many of the melons started splitting. We did not get the yield we were hoping for. If all goes well in the 2024 planting season, we are not sure what we will be planting yet but we are hoping to get started after the last frost.
Cats and squirrels also eat our avocados 🥑😊
Raccoons are our biggest nemesis! They eat and destroy everything!
I only got 1 Moon and Stars watermelon this year. Planted 2 times. The one I got was 2 pounds. It didn't look like it was ripe at all when I cut it. It's tendril had dried up days before I picked it. I was disappointed that the flesh was hardly pink, and it burst with seeds. The taste was surprising! It was very sweet and tasted like a good watermelon. Maybe we have gotten so used to the hybrids that we don't know what to look for with this heirloom. I got my seeds from Monticello- the Thomas Jefferson strain. I'm going to plant it again.
We had the exact same experience. Each one we cut didn't look ready, but tasted great! We plan to plant it again, but earlier in the season in 2024. I hope yours does well!
Way to go man... Beautiful product... keep up the good work! 💚 🌎✌️
Thank you!
White pomegranate?
The best pomegranate I’ve ever eaten.
@@IplantFood1635 they’re supposedly a very rare fruit, they look delicious and look like they won’t stain your clothes haha
@@HispanicHustla I'm glad to hear that is rare. Surprisingly, it didn't stain.
@@HispanicHustlai have red and white on my pomegranate. Im glad the white isn’t poisonous or smth
Your watermelon looks amazing. The yellow spot on the front is perfectly normal. It gets the name moon and stars because of the big yellow spot and the smaller speckles (it mimics the actual sky, etc). The leaves are also speckled. I just harvested mine and I agree that it was not that sweet. I recommend you try sugar babies and/ or Charleston grays or crimson sweet watermelons. Good job and good luck.
Thank you.😀
Wasp check
Why don't you tell your viewers to not do that and instead spend the money to get a grafted tree just like the one you bought at the nursery? The grafted tree will produce in 3 years instead of that seedling you planted (which may not even be true to seed if you select the wrong embryo to keep) and take 8-10 years to give them a mango they may not like if luck is not in their favor.
Thank you for your comment. You make a good point. When I was growing up in the Caribbean, we planted our trees from seeds. Very few people were into grafting. The length of time it would take to bear fruit was not a factor. The pride of planting our own seeds to bear fruit was joyful. The purpose of the video is to show the process of planting a mango tree from seed.
Your watermelon looks good. Hopefully the rest will be sweet. I love a good watermelon. Thanks for sharing.
Hopefully.🙂

Nice size melons. That watermelon looks good.
The different sized watermelon are of different times in life. Small ones for single man or woman. Medium ones for couples. And large ones for the family. They have been made with good design.
LOL
Dear friend thanks so much for another great garden . Thanks for some great tips and information on the bar. Exam is from grandma, Sandy and Debbie.
You are welcome.😀
Thank you. I’m trying to grow watermelons for the first time this year ❤
You will do great!👍
@@IplantFood1635 Thank you 😊
Hello from Robyn in NJ. Sent by @gailssouthernliving ❤
😃Thank you!
Nice, I’m glad you were able to salvage the plants from the wind and hailstorm. I am continuously amazed by nature. That planting things a few weeks later than the normal planting season could result in the grass out growing the watermelon vine. I never thought about that. And why in the world would those melons have been completely dried out like that?!? But like you said back to earth it goes and the seeds will sow themselves for a future harvest. I’ve never seen a near white watermelon, the one you left on the ground to grow a bit more. I’ll stay tuned to learn about that one. But the morning star melon did look rather juicy. Too bad it was not as sweet as it looked and I’ve had stringy melon before and i’m not a fan. Hopefully the family will like it. But if not the dogs and rabbits will enjoy. Thanks so much for sharing. Stay blessed. ✌🏾🍉🙂
We planted 17 varieties of watermelons on the ground this season. After seeing the grass taking over, we decided to replant all 17 varieties on the tarp. some of these melons are so beautiful. Enjoy the planting season and wishing you many success in the garden.

Hello stopping by to return the visit. I love watermelon! 🍉 I planted some this year and it is my very first time. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of space so I have them in a container. We will see how they do. I’m sorry the storm came through with such a fury at your place. It is two months later so I will need to find the updated video to see how your fruit are doing. I appreciate the planting tutorial and tips. Stay blessed my new friend. ✌🏾🙂🌺
Thank you!
Am fighting the grass also .yesterday I covered a big spot with a old rug to denying it sunlight. I tried it before with some success
The tarp makes a wold of difference! We plan on covering a spot for some raised beds.
Thanks for sharing your process. I bought a banana plant a few months ago. However, I'm a container gardener. I will be up potting in a few days.
Sounds good! I'm looking out for the video.
