People will always encounter similar issues when they insist on growing monoculture. I understand people are trying to be economically viable, but it's truly a losing battle, rather than a more diversified growing operation of compatible plants grown in guilds which intrinsically creates more resilience and a greater 'immune system' for any of the plants involved. It's known to science now that plants need community. The soil food web helps elaborate this picture. I wish people would take the tack of syntropic agriculture rather than using their cocktails of chemicals in a losing battle with countless victims in the process including our human health.
