I agree that many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, aiming to retire comfortably.

    • @IvanSolksjaer-o6g
      @IvanSolksjaer-o6g Месяц назад

I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

Facing a similar situation, I sought advice from an invęstment advisęr.
Through portfolio restructuring and diversification with good ETFs, S&P 500 and growth stocks, I've turned my portfolio around from $200k to over $800k in a few years.

Been beating myself up a bit that I sold my 53 shares of NVDA at $303 each back in May 2023. Now thinking of liquidating a few other investments to rebuy but afraid to do so. I also currently have 500k in savings making me next to nothing.

De-risk your portfolios, shore up your core holdings, and take some profits while balancing your portfolio allocations. I’d also suggest you go with a managed portfolio, but even those don’t perform so well, so it’s best you reach out to a proper fiduciary to guide you, that’s what works for my spouse and I. We've made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.

@sommersalt88 My approach might be more aggressive than yours but the position you sold in May 2023 has since tripled. Assuming you bought those 53 shares contemporaneous to May 2022, you tripled your original investment. I’m bullish on NVDA and would therefore reasonably anticipate that an April 2024 buy-in exhibits an interpolation likelihood to triple again by May of 2025. Use only risk capital and all the usual safe-harbor boilerplate but if I were you, I would definitely look seriously at buying back your old position. If it was me personally, I’d shave off $100K of that dormant savings and double-down with a 100 share buy. Even if I’m wrong and it doesn’t triple or double, it’s a stable place to park that $100K without disrupting the balance of the rest of your portfolio that will, at the very least, outperform whatever measly interest you’re yielding on it sitting in savings. Having said all of the above, don’t ignore your personal comfort levels. High reward scenarios like these don’t come along everyday but you need to be comfortable with the associated high risk. Hope you find this helpful.

No they didn't, this is a piece of garbage, filled with lies of a conference, ANYONE who has used NVLink in the past knows it was garbage, it was dropped from consumer GPUs for a reason, Nvidia gave up on it, this is basicall them saying "oh we don't have something good enough to justify our over inflated stock so let's pair up a bunch of semi-better chips together via NV-Link and pretend they are a single chip, also ignore the gigantic increase in size.
this is like when energizer came out with it's 18000mAh battery phone, like no, that is not the solution to just make it bigger, real improvement doesn't alter the size other than make it smaller.
Intel/AMD aren't that far behind in terms of AI workloads, Nvidia slacking like this will give them time to catch up, Intel struggled in the consumer GPU market not because they didn't have a great product, but because they were new to the field and had to support THOUSANDS of games, micro optimizing each, and they've started to close the gap there, in terms of AI workloads it's not as much of an actual job.
AMD on the other hand has less resources than intel but they were ahead of Intel and may already be close to releasing a competitive AI chip.
But you desk investors should keep buying though, meanwhile I'll dump my Nvidia shares since they were already priced in weeks ago, and now are just being held by people who bought at the top, until inevitably it falls like dominos

Or they could simulate a battlefield until they've built the proper tactics to destroy their enemies.

Exctly. SEe it doesn't matter if the new machine humans are truly conscious or not. They are going to ACT like they are. Why? Because we're conscious and they copy us. So they'll see us being selfish towards each other, going to war with each other, having an ego, and do the same thing!

This is amazing. But I think CNET forgot to include the part in which Jensen Huang says what videogames can be played with that thing.

very impressive, but software lags much behinds.
besides fast cpu, are fast algorithms.
Afterall is up to software to solve the problems.

When the movie "I, Robot" was released in 2004, it was categorized as "Sci-fi/Action". After watching this Nvidia 2024 AI event, I think that, in the not-so-distant furniture, robots serving humanity will no longer be science fiction, but rather reality. My dream of having a robot that could do all the household chores, grocery shopping and take care of other aspects of my life may just become reality during my lifetime.
