There's really not that many scenarios for a game this size, and even the small ones are still pretty big. However, the beach landings and airdrops, although not presented as such, effectively function as scenarios themselves.
I anticipated the words “offensive à outrance” coming in the opening, and so it was an incredible breath of fresh air when you said them with a French accent.
Some game are by their size and depth of detail too big to play, and this is one of them--at least for me. I'm not saying it isn't a great game, I feel sure it is, and if you have the time, and indeed energy, to play this thing, then you have my envy and admiration.
Medium complexity??? How the heck are they kidding??? As with all other DG games, they bear no resemblance to the original SPI titles of the same name. Imagine dropping a Yugo engine into a '67 Ford Mustang body but selling it as a '67 Mustang. Decision Games is kind of doing the same thing.
Big Board Gaming I'd say 8 or 9. I played Hurtgen, and the worst part was interpreting the rules. They aren't exactly clear. The system itself is great, though.

LOLOLOL... Have you seen Tom Sterns videos on these. HOLY COW. Cant wait to see you play this.
Did you ever get to this game: you know, the campaign game in all its glory? Or still waiting to retire? 0.0 Thanks for the box opening.
Very complete unboxing…thank you.
I love those counters. The game looks fantastic.
Did you ever play this?
thanks so much for the review. What a game!
You know you can do the landings. Then move to beaches then go inland. You can make that work, I've seen it done that way.
It will definitely be attempted in small steps.
Looks great. Wish I had room to play it.
7.54 and the lid comes off the box...why not have the contents on display from early on instead of just staring at a box.
Thanks. I am watching this now. I now know how far to FF! :-)
The largest monster game I think is The Longest Day. A buddy of mine had it and never played it or cut the counters. I played Fire in the East (GDW).
Just for your information- Cornelius Ryan author of D-Day left his papers at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Hi Kyle. So then... did "someday" arrive yet for playing AW2?

Wow, that is a HUGE game. I bet (1 phase) would take a couple hours +

This game is complex. It is a 9 for sure.
