its so insane how much king county asks for, I live on a property thats been in the same family for over 70 years and a recent new owner to a neighboring lot is just kinda started doing things, no permits, no permission, not even asking. Now he's cut into me and my neighbors wildlife reserve that gives us a huge tax break, and guess what, the county didnt even look at his property when we called about it. They just said "we surveyed this area recently everything is in order" Now we are suing our neighbor and the county, on behalf of the STATE. because this wildlife reservation is controlled by the state, not the county. Yet I get fined because I put up a semi-permanent car tent in the back 4 acres that isn't visible from any road anywhere. Doesn't matter, need a $3000 permit or take it down. Well malicious compliance I took it down right where it was, and there it sits covering my tractor. This whole this is so ass backwards, then we see whole plots of land get ripped apart so they can build 13 cookie cutter houses that no one I know can afford, and this is somehow better for the county. Wish I could have some sense of optimism, but it's hard watching 70 years of development and nature get destroyed by some dude who moved to America a year ago, doesn't respect our laws, or lands, or our desire to preserve nature. At the end of the day, it's me and my neighbor that front the bill because we lose almost 5 grand of tax benefits from someone else ruining our wildlife preserve.

The overreach WON'T be rolling back. $49,000 for a permit?!?! Could have bought land without property tax here in Uruguay. Sorry. I'm here to help anyone interested in moving.
