He said that the age difference was in the way because he wanted to make sure Maya got to experience life. Also because Disney is never going to have a 15 and 18 year old date. That's why we got the someday deal in ski lodge. We are basically waiting until Maya is 18. And I'll gladly wait because this show is amazing. I hope we get a season 4 and it's moved to Freeform
I couldn't have said it better! This whole time Josh was never not into Maya, you could see the way that he looked at her already in season 1. It never had anything to do with his feelings but with the age difference. And him always bringing up the age difference kind of inferred that he was bringing this point for himself, to try and prove to himself that his feelings were wrong.

Their chemistry is amazing, but not the same as Lucaya, who did have chemistry. Until season 3 and then they really forced Maya and Lucas apart, probably because they felt Riley needed to get the guy and they try to make you think that Lucaya wasn't real. So frustrating!
