    Wow this is fascinating brother I freaking love it I wonder if you could go to a Marriott or some random franchise Hotel go to whatever floor the ice machine is on grab a cup and see if a hotel ice machines are any dirtier than McDonald's lol

      @@CloseIntel imagine looking for a needle in a hay stack but multiply it. That little creature on a slide that big is like trying to find a fish in the Black Sea. I wonder if you can attempt this again but then limit the surface area it has to travel thus making it easier for future observations.

    Is there a cheaper microscope that can be used to view some of these same things? Unfortunately 3 to 5 grand is a little steep for a hobby

      You can get a decent microscope for like 200-300$ if you just wanna do it as a hobby, if you want dark background it’s gonna be like an extra 150$ which is still decent compared to your 3-5 grand estimate lol

    got me tearing up over dat lil mommy and the weirdness that a feeling of attachment can form in us (apex predators whose brains grew too big for their own good) towards something so small. Completely unaware of us looming over, we can see straight through them and we can feel like want to take care of them and love them
