Stoked to see a rundown from Paolo; I feel like he’s left out a lot. Also great to see since Matt and Corey switched back to live amps yet Paolo is still going digital.
@@mrtiesthatbind Nowadays not much anymore. The biggest perk is convenience. Bringing a digital rig is WAY easier than analog. But the biggest is how it feels, at least from what I’ve heard. The response you get from an analog amp “feels” different than a digital one. Could it be placebo affect? Sure. I think Fluff and Uncle Ben did a blind shootout of analog vs digital to see if they can tell/feel the difference between the two.
Dude, I've actually found the Kemper profile he uses when I got my Kemper at the end of last year. I feel very lucky right now 'cause I still got it :D
Amp modellers are incredible now. The time for lugging tube amps, racks of effects and cabinets around is over. I think most musicians still do that stuff just out of stubbornness.
Love this so much! As a rock/metal bass player myself, I’ve always related to way Paolo plays. I always try to use my fingers whenever possible and use a pick only when I’m after the desired amount of attack or sound. It’s really nice to see one of my favourite bass players reveal what he uses to get a solid tone that works every time 🤘
I'm a bass player but started on guitar (only like 6 months) and could never unlearn the pick, but I usually play with bands with only one guitarist so my tone ends up super mid heavy and it works out.
@GhostsAmongUs okay but in terms of technical ability, or how influential they were? Because Paolo is pretty technically advanced. Wouldn't say he's the GOAT by any means, but I'd respect it if he made someone's top 5 for sure.
Would love to see an entire band gig rundown soon as well! This is really fun to watch

What's the difference?

@@Erik.Fernandez__ so it's similar to choosing between wireless system or cable system for your guitar?

YES. I’ve been hoping we’d get an updated gear run down. Nice and simple, but very effective. The tone is absolutely monstrous live!

Love this! I hope we get one for each one of you! Love seeing the tech behind the music.
