I absolutely love the way this car is turning out! I think the uncommon Barra swap into a GT350 and the way it's being done as if it came from the factory that way is sick! I'm all about modifying and customizing my cars, but at the same time I appreciate factory upgrades and custom work that looks OEM. Great work LZ and team!
I have to say this...When you first said you were doing this swap I was a bit disappointed you weren't using some forms of Ford V8. Once I heard the Barra running I started really buying into it. Now, with making things so compatible with the stock chassis and electronics, I'm loving this! You 'da man!!!
The Barra sounds so nice, definitely one of my favorite engine sounds right now. The GT3 boxer engine is still my favorite it sounds so nice with aftermarket headers and mufflers... with out mufflers is abit too race car for me 😂
Man this car has come a long way. You always thought this Mustang was special but never felt to you like your other cars that you love driving. Hopefully this car becomes not only special but a car that you love to drive. Skyline is still my fav as it oozes in personality.

You could put the clutch switch on a relay thats triggered on the start button. If you want to avoid having to deal with the clutch switch every time you start it.

Pro tip for your tool box sockets. go get the post organizers from harbor freight instead of those clip on rails. you just drop the socket onto the post and they are numbered too.

If I didn't know it was a straight 6 I would literally never guess it was anything but a V8. It's got the smoothness of an i6 with the grunt of a v8, crazy!

I’ve been wondering about the modern integration. It will be sweet if you get everything interior wise working without a bunch of annoying things popping up. If you get this swap working flawless inside and out with ac , I will have big respect for your competence and intelligent thinking.

Yep, a Barra powered foxbody is my dream build too... that would make a phenomenal street setup !! Fox chassis are super light and with a worked Barra, would make for an insane power to weight ratio. 😂

This build reminds me of the Tokyo Drift Mustang, with the Barra taking the place of the RB motor of course, it even sounds nearly identical to the RB with that turbo.
I’d say make a mount for the clutch switch to be placed on the back side of the brake pedal so you can get rid of the clutch pedal. That or wire the brake sensor wires into the ecu as the clutch sensor to have it recognize as the clutch sensor.

Other then it being the wrong sensor apparently(no barra expert) the misreading could be caused by adding the parallel temp connection in the wiring. CAN bus is relying on sending a signal and expecting a similar signal in return. Add something to that feed or return and the internal resistance changes. Resulting in either a fault code (like for example in a light circuit when a light burns out) or a false reading as in this case. As you have added to both the feed and return it will read. But with that added resistance the reading will be off to the low end being that it is a NTC sensor.
Hey Adam, temp sensor is not gonna work, reason being that it is a passief sensor, meaning the ECU is sending out 5 volt then there is a fixed resistor (inside the ECU) and then the variable resistor (water temp sensor) the ECU measure's the voltage drop between the two resistors to find out what temperature the engine is. If you wire two power supplies (ecu) to the same resistor you get some strange results, as you have seen. Hope this helps you and love the content!

When it gets tuned, you have to use the clutch switch to toggle launch control. Then you can dump the clutch to launch your auto ;)

If you don’t like how it sounds with the dual Y pipes just mount the tips in the bumper and have turn downs right before them
