Few singers have such a beautiful natural vibrato as her. Her voice has such range and her pitch is always perfect. This song always makes me cry. The Seekers were HUGE in the 60's.
I also fell in love with Judith Durham's voice many years ago but did not know it. Two songs of the Seekers were my absolute favorites even thought I did not know they were sung by the same group. One was "I will never find another you" and the other was "Georgia Girl". I was stunned to find out the female lead on both was the same lady. I agree with you, she is definitely top five, for me of all time.
i doubt if there is a better version of 'danny boy' than this one by judith durham! not only is there so much soul in her voice but the slight tremulous sound she emits gives the song the poignancy the sadness of the lyrics! expresses!!!
Not sure how any one can comment on her voice...it is other worldly, I read comments about Karen Carpenter , a spectactular voice, but then hear this...I have NO words.
judith durham this is my song written by charlie chaplin made famous by a few singers like petula clark but i think judith does it best please react if you can
If you like "Danny Boy" you ought to listen to Elvis Presleys version! Judith Durham had a wonderful voice and her interpretation of the song is solid, but nothing can compare to Elvis! I've heard a lot of versions of this song by male and female singers, but nobody can transport the heartache and melancholy of this song like Elvis. For me "Danny Boy" is one of Elvis' best vocal masterpieces of all time! He performs it so intimate, soft and passionate at the same time that you get chills over your whole body. Try it, you`ll be blown away! This is the link: ruclips.net/video/lWc5ZD-ugrU/видео.html
nope! judith sings this man's song brilliantly & for me is the best version!! however, elvis's masterpiece is 'american trilogy', followed by'in the ghetto', both live & 'one night'!! listen also to frank sinatra singing 'old man river' live around about 1968! he reduced martin luther king to tears!!

She was such a doll too! 😍
I really can not put any other female vocalist any where near her, she was different and completely from another planet, in my eyes.

This was 1968 just after the Seekers broke up
I put Judith right up there with Karen Carpenter for having a god given voice, both sadly missed...
