Oh man! I'm so glad an OG like Professor Griff is dealing with this issue. I say this all the time and refuse to support, listen to or purchase music by any other race who are capitalizing on our culture. period.
Skin color doesn’t have ownership over any genre of music. A black person raised in the suburbs could never claim hardcore rap as being more of his culture then someone that’s not black being raised in poverty who has actually seen these things firsthand. The culture vulture excuse is beyond cringe.

Griff was truly the "leader" of Public Enemy because he kept his original morals and stance from day one while Chuck D and Flav drifted away and turned into something else that is far removed from when they first formed the group. There are so many contradictions displayed with Chuck D and what he stands for nowadays comared to what he was in 1987. He became a sellout in 2019. Griff stayed his ground and didn't drift away from his morals. He's the heart and soul of what P.E. should have been today.

He's talking about mainstream hip hop artists signed to major labels not everyday people sitting in their houses. The music was definitely deliberately changed to promote the worst aspects of the black community. I have an entire documentary about this called Hip Hop Cerebral Sabotage. It was a very strategic attack in the art form that it has never recovered from today.

What got created was a unique musical style that centered around the Elements: MC spitting, DJ scratching, B-Boys breakdancing and Graffiti taggers/artists. Then commercialism entered the equation to amplify the reach. 85% of music buyers are white. All the executives are white. You can’t call something you don’t own yours. If anyone is to blame its Russell Simmons. He sold the rights of Hip Hop to Corporate America. A lot of rappers made life changing money and were able to better their lives but the execs (mainly Jews) made 40x more off the rappers labor (overwhelming majority black).
So strategies are required for future generations can move forward to be successful and mentally whole in this journey. Learn and improve on the past by sharing knowledge.

I remember listening to Griff's interviews years ago, and he had so much hate against white people that it would cloud his judgement on his opinions, dude has a lot of hate in his heart. When I look at him now, I perceive him as a bad source of reference for what culture vulture should be defined as. There is an underlying hate for much of anything white based on his previous statements, I wouldn't trust much coming from a racist It doesn't even matter he is from Public Enemy, as I would listen to Chuck, before I would listen to him for an opinion.
