Enthusiasts may cringe at the term crossover, but the Mercedes-Benz GLA-class is not the bloated people carrier usually associated with that word. Despite being marketed as an SUV, it’s really more of a sport-oriented hatchback with a slightly increased ride height. And although it has been refreshed for the 2018 model year, its core values remain intact-why change what works? Mercedes-Benz found American driveways for more than 24,000 GLAs in 2016. Updates to the 2018 GLA-class amount to little more than a light freshening. Newly optional LED headlamps flank a restyled grille with crossbars that feature rectangular punctures like those on the larger GLS-class SUV. A revised front bumper with more-prominent fog lamps, revised LED taillights, and new wheel designs round out the exterior tweaks. Inside, an 8.0-inch infotainment screen replaces last year’s 7.0-incher; additional chrome brightwork adorns the door panels and the center console; and new, more legible black-faced gauges replace the 2017’s gray-faced units.

I love this car. Only one thing I don't like is that there is only one button to lock and unlock the door. So if my child is in the back and i want to run into a store, she has to climb up to hit the button to lock or unlock.

I have one. It's a gas hog that requires premium gas. Service on it is really expensive. The command system has a book hundreds of pages long to figure out how to do things. Very expensive. Sorry I didn't buy a Honda or Toyota instead.

Roger didit what did you expect? It’s a Mercedes. All Mercedes take premium gas that’s no secret. Luxury vehicles tend to be more expensive than their non-luxury counterparts like Honda so it’s no surprise that it’s an expensive vehicle to maintain. Yes you’re right a Honda or Toyota would’ve suited your needs better.

I have a white loaded 2018. I love it the seats are excellent the interior is beautiful. It's a Mercedes what did you expect. I get looks from other envious drivers around me all the time. You are riding in a premium luxury car not a run of the mill Toyota Honda or chevy.
