It’s true that the country is very divided and the gap gets bigger, but in the last seven years, Republicans and right wing initiatives have all been outvoted because of Trump. If he endorses a candidate, that’s the kiss of death, and it’s very clear the the decisions like ending abortion protections are very unpopular while Trump says that ending legal abortion in some red states is because of him. Not a smooth move. I keep hanging on to the reality that Biden is always underjudged, and that nobody wants what Trump is talking about which is indicting his political opponents for no reason because he was indicted (for genuine reasons). Its how people are conditioned from childhood, to believe their government and their people are righteous, law abiding people (I'm not English). Its pretty easy to brainwash kids, we see it in all cultures and in different religions.
This is an excellent companion piece to the Miami Showband's Stephen Travers interview. Great interview with the remarkable Anne Cadwallader. She speaks for many people when she describes how she her cognizance of government evil grew from ignorance or disbelief to enlightenment. Met her in the States, some years ago, during a book tour. May her pen never run out of ink. We have plenty of additional subject matter over here.

For Heaven’s sake, His Majesty’s Sovereign Realm, the Six loyal Counties of Northern Ireland ( a section of the UK that is still as integral & affixed to the Kingdom as the nail to the flesh. Lethal Allies is essential reading. The govnt passing the law that no armed forces will be prosecuted shows how they want it to be all forgotten about.
It was the first book introduced as evidence in court. I read it too, and it was a book long list of collusion that caused the deaths of very many innocent Catholic people and next to no IRA. However if you had a third cousin in the IRA or Sinn Fein, you could definitely be a target.
All of this is well & good,..intriguing & fascinating in its own right,..but, it begs the question. The proverbial elephant in the room. Little to no addressing the point of the Haughey - Lynch - Gardai - Irish Army collusion with and, indeed, even construction of the Provisional IRA.
The same Haughey the British government tried to enlist the UVF to assassinate? That Haughey? Throw up some proof that the Gardai or Irish Army helped the IRA. And don't go there with the Harry Breen allegations. The inquiries found no proof of Garda collusion. The IRA didn't need help to assassinate Breen and Buchanan because they weren't meticulous about their route of transportation back across the border (partly due to Buchanan's belief in divine providence). It's also common knowledge to anyone with a brain that Breen knew he was being set up by people above him and requested shortly before his death that John Hermon and certain others not be allowed at his funeral if he were to die. Breen was living on borrowed time due to the infamous photo with the Loughgall Ambush weapons haul and believed that photo was set up to put him on an IRA hitlist. They wanted to get rid of him because he supplied weapons and intelligence to the Glenanne Gang and, in short, knew too much.
When she said the miami show band were in the era before the beatles and the rolling stones i gave up watching …the stones and beatles date from the very early sixties dear …
