I am speaking of an event that I was at w/ Ray in Civic Center Demo then. Demo Colt Start & then next day at King Ranch. I am not Ray nor do I pretend to be. Ray & I were friends for over the last 35 years of his life & I am grateful for that.
Thanks for sharing your stories with us about Ray. It is a shame that silly people are making stupid comments about other trainers. This is a wonder moment about RAY HUNT and you! I enjoyed reading your other stories about you and Ray, and have shared them. The 38 difficult mares, was the topic in the car with my husband the other day. Less bashing and more helpful information are what most intelligent people look for. Thanks again for taking the time to share this.
Very wise words Too many people want to get all confrontational with horses these days. Body language is OK if you use it for the right means but used badly it can be more disconcerting for a horse than a correctly used lunge whip. Horses are prey animals and need an instinct for threatening behaviour in order to survive. Big cats would have been one of the biggest threats to them and big cats dont carry whips
people in the horse world are so fucked up. This is Mike Thomas a great horseman. Hes telling a story about Ray and making a comment on slowing down when showing your horse something.Just how sensitive a horse can be.
I would reword the first sentence to gentle all those horse people out there... “People in the horse world seem to be a bit confused. This is Mike Thomas, a great horseman in the video. He is....”
I saw Ray in 1983 in Midland Tx. This is not Ray Hunt. He says some of the same things but, that is not his voice nor does it look like him. Ray was never that thin nor did he wear that style of hat.
Thank you

If you read the top comment pinned it explains that he is talking about what Ray did and said.
