Well spotted! Yes we had a malfunction on the thrust reversers (T/R), which was rectified immediately after the flight. The T/R's are - as you can imagine - very well protected against an inadvertently deployment in flight. A lot of safety features are built in. The T/R's did not deploy in time, but this is not a problem, because all landing distance numbers are calculated without the use of thrust reverses. Happy Landings, Guido
One of the things I always enjoy about your videos is the CRM and interactions between you and your FOs. Always relaxed, yet very professional and duties are obviously clearly defined. I'm betting your coworkers are always happy to know they'll be flying with you.
Best crew coordination that I've seen - totally professionally done! I was impressed with the PNF; she was on top of everything! And, you sir are to be congratulated for your flying and cockpit management skills. Many thanks.
Guido, I have become addicted to your videos! Thank you for talking and captioning your procedures.. You may have gotten me off the couch to get my instruument rating...
FABULOUS VIDEO! These types of videos put nervous fliers at ease when it comes to flying, landing in adverse WX conditions! Thank you for posting and that F/O has an adorable voice!!!! :)
You're really an inspiration for all of us.I live in Brazil, and your videos make me to keep inproving my Flight skills. I'm just about to finish my graduate in Aeronautical Science. I just have to say thanks a lot to provide us your skills and how you dominate these aircrafts that you've flown. I wish meet you or someone like you, with your skill, someday, may when I finish college (2014) and than move to US, that are my futures plans. Till there I'll keep whatching your vids. Thanks again!
Your videos are some of the best on YT I have seen. All business with nice annotations. Thank you for posting them. I'm so glad you don't talk too much but use the annotations instead. Subscribed.
Well flown. Outstanding CRM! Truly outstanding mentorship for your SIC pilots. I hope they appreciate the outstanding opportunities that this experience provides.Sure beats single pilot ifr in piston twins! Thanks to you Guido!
Thank you very much! That's my intention: show it from the pilot's eye and taking the mystery out of a lot of procedures in the cockpit. Thanks for watching my videos & happy landings, Guido
Tim Blum Thank you, Tim! Standing water on the runway makes it easier to do smooth landing. But there is an elevated risk of hydroplaning. The the best practice is to do a firm landing in these condition. Happy Landings, Guido
I once made that same approach into Smyrna while accompanying a non-instrument pilot to St. Louis. He was not my student but I offered to go along under my ticket just for the fun of it. Weather there was fairly clear but his wife in back would not shut up. I even mentioned "sterile cockpit" and quiet during the approach. Nope. I had to get him to say something to her. On into a snowy St. Louis, visibility was low on that ILS and she was talking again. I love the isolation switch!
Thank you very much! Congrats to you PPL and best of success for the commercial. And from there it is the ATP. Work hard and the left seats in any aircraft are open for you. Happy Landings, Guido
Hope all of them are Sir ! Flying tomorrow from 77G to KMPO. Not a King Air but Commander 114. Should be fun ! Good luck to you to and looking forward more of your videos. They are really great !
Thank you Mariusz! The 114 is a very good aircraft, very solidly built. Never flown one myself, but I hear only good things about it. Some earlier versions a bit under powered. Is that correct? Thanks for watching my videos & happy landings, Guido
Ranferi, that is a good question! Small piston airplanes do not need windshield wipers because the propeller blows the rain off. Twin engine airplanes often have a wiper, because there is no propeller in the middle. In the jet, the landing speeds are around 100 kts, that is enough to keep the windscreen clean. We have "rain deflectors" in the Citation which we never use because they do not retract properly. .. Happy Landings, Guido
Thank you very much, Joel. The most important thing I do when flying in bad weather is to fly SAFE. Thanks for watching my videos and happy landings, Guido
Any aircraft that brings you in the air is a good aircraft, Chris! I had a chance to see the Sonex aircraft at Oshkosh this year for the first time. They had a jet performing at the airshow. Pretty cool. Happy Landings, Guido
+RellyOhBoy Thank you! I will pass this on to the other crew member. Flying is team work. CFM enhances safety as it uses both crew members in the cockpit. Happy Landings, Guido

Sorry if I sound harsh but after all, you are the one putting yourself under the spotlight and making this video sound and look somehow an educational tool. Keep scanning and happy trails!
flxsrsathr For sure we scanned the radar and were aware of the location & intensity of cells and precipitation.
