To be honest, if Hoopa couldn't send Regigigas through the portal, Regigigas most likely could beat Hoopa. Regigigas has incredible power overall.
According to some theories, Regigigas is a golem created by humans, they wanted to create a statue to thank Arceus for saving them (in fact it was when Rayquaza stopped Groudon and Kyogre for the first time, but they thought it was send by god). And Arceus, grateful of this present, gave life to this golem to protect them

It would be even weirder for Regigigas. He was probably sleeping before this shit happened. He probably sat down happily on his throne after having used up his energy for the day, next thing he knew he was yeeted into the hoola hoop portal and then forced to battle with one black amalgamation between Bee and Dragon and another amalgamation of a Wolf and a Dragon to fight against a pokemon dressed in elf pants and shoes and wearing too many hoola hoops.

Here's the thing if you notice. Regigigas was holding his own and not getting pushed back. Hoops had to put one under him so he would sink.
Slow Start didn't have enough time to get off if slow start was off regigigas would've thrown hoopa into the stratosphere

Which is why Kyrum can easily fuse with Reshiram and Zekrom.

Personally, I am coming up with an idea for a buff.
Slow Start: Standard rules apply (the 5 turns thing). + All stats, including maximum HP receive a 10% increase after the five turns ends, and attacks will be used instantly and will not need to recharge after 6 turns.

@@savvythedivineyethuggable7493 I know this is a year ago but gigas still has no chance of surviving those first 5 turns in any sort of competitive battle. And if he does it's because the opposing team used it to build up a mega sweeper in those five turns so the whole team is screwed.

I find it funny that in the games Hoopa Unbound gets folded by Mega Beedrill. A Timid, Choice Scarf Hoopa Unbound loses to Mega Beedrill in speed by *one singular point.* Yet in the anime he solos multiple legendary Pokémon at once.
Sometimes not. His advantage is the manipulation of portals in the anime, which makes him quite Op, but he would take a hell of a beating from those three in the video if it weren't for that.
The anime is lore accurate, also, he didn't beat, he realized that the trio was too strong to take on alone so he teleported them back where they came from

He did that with the humans. He summoned gods and then just teleported them back so he could look "powerful" when in fact hes really not that strong. Regigias was in slow start which makes his stats or "power" in half. Not only that but regigias was tanking the hit hoopa had to put a hoop underneath him to teleport him away, and zekrom and reshiram i was confused why they just didnt either dodge or fly out the tornado. But think of it this was they were most likely confused wtf was going on and since they didnt know hoopa could teleport them back they didnt expect it. I personally think hoopa isnt strong he just summons legends and teleports them back

But what I do question how the weather trio though I would get the fact that rayquaza showed up but groudon and kyogre ESPECIALLY in their primal states, there should’ve been some weather distortions running around the place, heck I’m surprised the whole place in the movie hadn’t broke down yet when Dialga and Palkia showed for some reason.

Being a gen 5 diehard fan I freaked out seeing reshiram and zekrom, but having read the pokemon manga regigigas was awesome to see and I love the pokemon cry he does
This is why I hated this movie. Hoopa was extremely powerful for no reason. He could mock even Palkia and Dialga and he isn't even the god of anything

@@xShadowNinjaEX Both regigigas and zekrom aren't really special attackers (due to their base stats). Reshiram was the only one who was mainly a special attacker + Regigigas probably had slow start here so that also adds to it. A fully powered regigigas would have just charged at hoopa and slam it into the ground, regigigas was probably aware of its slow start and tried to delay hoopas attacks with it's hyper beam

@@leticianeal9147 not really, ultra balls have a better catch rate than a plain poke ball, and the other types depends on whether it has advanced due to the conditions or not
@@leticianeal9147 Damn that's some extreme patience there! Catching legendaries with a Poke Ball is very time consuming. I've only ever done that with cover legendaries. I usually use Dusk Balls. Prior to them I would use Ultra Balls and Timer Balls.

Most legendaries in the movie solo Hoopa. Just the dumb portals make everything unfair. Hoopa is just too scared so he sends em away
Hoopa unbound was focused to catch the real Hoopa, he wasn't even trying to fight against Lugia. I'm pretty sure Hoopa unbound could've defeated Lugia, if he was actually trying.

I bet you anything this wouldn't have happened if Zecrom and Reshiram were still merged with Kyurem and Regigigus had more time since we all know he's a slow starter.
Hoopa just teleports them there, and sends them back because hes gonna get tossed around by Regigigas, Reshiram, and Zekrom if he doesn't.

Hoopa is honestly intelligent
he knew that he could take Zekrom and Reshiram by himself, but Regigigias would be a threat, so he put a hoop under it. Without those hoops, the trio couldve won (mainly gigigas but Zekrom and Reshiram can support)
He knew he had to get rid of Regigigas before Slow Start wore off, because he'd be a lot more of a hassle to deal with otherwise.
