I got to see the Peabody ducks in Florida as a kid! This brings back fond memories! Okay the duck trainer talking to them when you went back at night. My heart. 😂💜
I loved your vantage point for the ducks going back up to the roof. It was like a cell phone paparazzi. It was just neat seeing every single person filming with their cell phones. Haha.
Memphis has been a destination escape for me since college, 30 years ago. I adopted it in my heart and even married my wife IN Sun Studios (after tourist hours) a couple of years ago. It's sacred space for us.
I went back and found this after your recent visit to Memphis. Thank you! It brings me back to my time spent there. I loved the Peabody and the ducks. I love how they stay on their little red carpet. The Flying Fish looks delicious. I hadn't even heard of it until you mentioned it. I would love to try a whole fish. I thought the drone footage of the "statue of liberty" was very fitting also.
I'm a new subscriber to your channel. In my opinion, you are one of the best bloggers on RUclips. I've been slowly making my way through your videos, and I haven't seen one that I didn't like yet. I enjoyed this one very much! Most of these places I will never get to see, but I'm so glad that you are out there filming and sharing with us. Please keep doing what you are doing, it is much appreciated!!
Great video! Lots of cool stuff in Memphis. Raising Jairus' daughter: Mark chapter 5, verses 22-43. BTW: It's "geth-SEM-an-ee." Props to the guy shooting video while riding backwards on a Segway.
Snorted laughed at Jacob saying they are being assaulted by the paparazzi and then love love the fact he said swanky! I say it all the time and get funny looks or a that's not a real word lol yes yes it is! Carpetbagger says it!
Got to Love those ducks. Did not know they still had them. Think I will be staying away from 100 yr old grease though. Really cool guitars all over. Glad to see your fish up, I remember when you gave it. Awesome video. Love all your content. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
Been to Memphis several times. Never disappointed. One of the first times was to see the Memphis Belle when it was on Mud Island. Great place with amazing culture.
My mom and I have been to Memphis 8 years ago. We walked on Beale Street and we saw the Peabody Ducks walk into the Peabody Hotel's lobby fountain while we stayed at the Peabody.
I was in Memphis on a band and choir trip my senior year in high school ... ten years ago! Wow! I remember Beale Street and the Peabody. For some reason I remember me and a couple of other peers actually rode the elevator with the ducks in down, as like a 'help the Duckmaster' type of thing. I remember being in an elevator with the ducks, so bizarre. Memphis is a fun city! We ate at the BB King restaurant, I remember too.
Great video! I saw you did a Peabody duck video several years ago. This one was better. Much less crowded. Great shots of the ducks. How about a Graceland video? 😀
I recommend seeing the Oliver's mansion/studebaker museum along with visiting the tippecanoe restaurant in South bend, Indiana! You may enjoy it and its history! :)))
"Today, five mallards move from a local family’s farm to downtown Memphis to stay as the hotel’s guests of honor for ninety days at a time. Each morning, they march from their rooftop penthouse to the elevator, then down to the lobby fountain where they spend the day splashing and swimming before marching back up the red carpet to the roof each evening. When the ninety days are up, the ducks return to the family’s farm to reacclimate to life in the wild-free to fly away whenever they so choose-and a new flock is immediately brought in." gardenandgun.com/articles/peabody-memphis-ducks/
Now I want to go to Memphis just to see the ducks! Well that and to see other fascinating stuff that you're showing us.While I can't be sure I'm wondering if the two drinking fountains that are next to each other may be a leftover from the Jim Crow era where blacks and whites had separate facilities.
This was a great video. Give me some ideas of places to visit while I am here in Memphis. You need to take a trip to the Virgin Islands next to both the British and US Virgin Islands as they are next to each other.
It would be interesting to see you visit the location of musician Jeff Buckleys death (respectively) He drown in the Wold River in Memphis in 97 & I believe was sadly found somewhere along Beale Street. He was an incredibly talented singer who was living in Memphis while working on his second album.
Did you walk across the Harahan Bridge, one of the road ways on the bridge was converted to a pedestrian path and there's remnents of the original road on the Arkansas side of the bridge on the left side approach onto the bridge, I have video on my channel covering the walk
Dear Carpetbagger ! My wife and I in our mid 60s booked a trip to see Graceland in nov and I’ve heard some negative things about the city that it has a lot of crime ? Any tips where it’s safe to go and places not to go ? Thank you !
Thanks for this, man. I briefly lived in Memphis about ten years ago. I loved hanging out on Beale Street on Friday night and watching the ducks at the Peabody hotel from one of those comfortable chairs in the lobby lounge on Sunday afternoon. This reminds me that I really need to go back and visit.
Seeing those Peabody ducks being treated like royalty really made my day 😁
I once had a room next to those ducks. Those bastards kept me up all night, the we're partying and blasting music all night long.
They always qwack me up!
And the fowl language !
You must know somebody! Those accommodations are special!

I like how the CarpetBass faces the opposite way of most of the other ones.
And its blue. Ha ha!
It certainly stands out. I noticed that too in his most recent Memphis video.
The shot of you walking down the street at night at the end of the video looked so visually cool 😎
Home with the flu 😷 thanks for always being there 😘

Great place to ride the bird scooters downtown! Had a blast. Everyone in Memphis is very friendly. Great food and vibe.
It was the friendliest place I have ever visited.
I’ve been there,
The flying fish was amazing,
I got to see your fish
It’s funny, the hotel behind you, at the start of the video. Is where we stayed, when we went to Memphis a couple years ago. What an awesome place.

I have a colored picture of the Peabody ducks on my wall in the kitchen. I get to see them everyday. I have also seen it in person.
When I go to Memphis, going to the peabody is my favorite thing!
Nice moon catch in the back of the Jehovah of Liberty footage.
Was there 15 years ago-very cool-thanks, Jacob!
We ran into you down there ! It was in the evening with all the lights on!
So good! That fish! Those ducks! Great job Jacob.
Great video! I saw you did a Peabody duck video several years ago. This one was better. Much less crowded. Great shots of the ducks.

They will not let you video in Graceland.

People, Jacob knows why there were two fountains he was being sarcastic.

Hundred year old grease, Yum!.Lol.
Yeah, pretty gross. Gus's Fried Chicken has the same gimmick. Yuck.

Very interesting!! Great 👍
Walkin in memphis great song
Thank you
Great video all way around including the Crystal Cave and Christian Miss Liberty. Highland had to be the Pebody dogs to and fro.
Jacob, Jacob, I’m pretty sure that is Zacchaeus in that tree, not Zacharias!
Thank you. I planned to post the same comment. Zacchaeus! (Zy-KEE-us)
Go do a tour of the Gibson Guitar Factory, they make the ES series in Memphis.
Did you go to The Rendevous? Just down the alley from The Peabody.
Nice ducks
I hope you went somewhere and got some dry rub pork ribs. Memphis has the best dry rubbed ribs.
Thank you..
A Psyduck at the peabody lets hope the hotel ducks don't know about their new duck at the hotel
Their*
Evertime I went to the Beale Street Music festival, Dyers was the only restaurant that wasn't packed. Those burgers are nasty.
I saw one in Jacob's most recent Memphis video. He seemed to love it. I thought it looked disgusting. Absolutely soggy and dripping with grease.
Made it just in time.
I'm disappointed that the food challenge at the Kooky Canuck isn't a 4-pound Poutine.
What kind of oysters were they? Just curious, love you CB!
Hey look, it's my home town
I like the MJ playing in the background the music i mean
Beautiful hotel. Only been thru Memphis years ago. I'd like the music scene tho!!!!!!!
Dear Carpetbagger ! My wife and I in our mid 60s booked a trip to see Graceland in nov and I’ve heard some negative things about the city that it has a lot of crime ? Any tips where it’s safe to go and places not to go ? Thank you !

I pray you got to central bbq lol
Where are the 1080p videos @thecarpetbagger ?

3:23 Why in the world are these Ducks swimming in the Fountain of the Hotel?
Maybe you need to watch the video again very carefully.
It was pretty clearly explained.
