Agreed, this should not be considered a good performance tho. You can hear that the backtrack is way louder than anything else so he's just strugglin to even be heard. Also he leaves most clean stuff out when it gets a bit higher up, so i think he knows he has a bad day, it shows if you really look again. We all have bad days tho and he's still an amazing vocalist!
