TXT played a day before hobi, the crowd that came there to support them especially came for them only as they played on different day from hobi... and they had the one of biggest crowd and buzz the day they performed as they are the first Kpop group to perform at lollapalooza so making it history, they were even on front page of the Chicago times next and Jimin and hobi + wallows all watched txt performance back stage! jimin and bangPD later took out txt for dinner too, all in all it was pretty iconic
Also TXT are performing in Japan’s biggest festival this year called summer sonic so your wish is fulfilled😌

Actually Hobi and TXT performed on different days, so technically all k-pop fans MOAs and ARMYs were there just for TXT that day!
He probably wasn’t aware they came on separate days, he’s baby Moa, also some Army’s are Moa as well (like myself) so I got to see both of them💙

The fact that Taehyun said on vlive that WHAT IF THEY WILL HAVE A SILENT CROWN WITH NO MOA... make my heart broke.
They were really surprised seeing the cheerful crowd, Hueningkai even said that, MAYBE SOME OF YOU AREN'T FAMILIAR WITH OUT SONGS, and the crowd straight on went like,NO!! ,Taehyun was really surprised and went , REALLY! You guy know our songs.
I am so happy for them that the crowd was singing along with their moabongs
How stable their vocals are👌💯👏 with those intense choreography 😏
for real! also, idk why, but it looked like they gained even more energy the longer they were on that stage.
like, normally you would get worn out, and by the end of the set it would show, but Txt weren't even that out of breath, or anything. Moas/Army, and everyone who showed up made it all the more special.

OT5 "Thursday's Child" just hits different. This performance was so incredible.
And, no, they weren't joking about their surprise that people recognized them. Taehyun stated in a Vlive before the performance that he was genuinely afraid of a silent crowd. Their performance venues in the US were _incredibly_ small because the company--and the members themselves, apparently--don't believe they're as popular in the US as they are. So their shock that a majority of that crowd was there for _them_ and knew their music was genuine.

It was Beomgyu who rushed back to shake hands with the band. Hobi/Jimin were there to see TXT's set, it was nice full circle for TXT/BTS. [background: TXT had a U.S. showcase in 2019 right after their debut - one of their stops was Chicago. BTS were also in Chicago on their Speak Yourself tour; TXT got to see BTS perform and met them backstage.]
It seems they were having a few technical issues in the beginning as you can see a couple of the boys signalling to the sound technicians to turn their mics and in ears up but the boys were such pros! It’s even more impressive when you consider that majority of their career they haven’t been able to perform in front of a live audience due to the pandemic so performing in front of a crowd this big, in a foreign country where not everyone is a MOA would’ve been a lot of pressure but they absolutely killed it!!
TxT rocked it! I'm really going to hope that the Lollapalooza organization saw the vast crowd for TxT and already wants them to come back in 2023.
I watched a reactor/musician who commented on audio mixing vocals in a live situation and he said it can get pretty chaotic doing that for just one person, can't imagine doing that for seven vocalists (he was reacting to BTS). Lollapalooza (as opposed to Big Hit) were responsible for the technical aspects of their festival and from the off, Yeonjun, Taehyun and HueningKai audio mixes were fine but Beomgyu and Soobin were too low (especially Gyu). They were adjusting throughout, Gyu was gesturing to the sound board people in the back, everyone commented on that. But all that aside, being on tour bolstered their stamina - they were ready! Vocally, they are already incredible and the set was structured perfectly. They had fun, too. Beomgyu made the cover of the Chicago Sun-Times the next day, his mom found it online.
His name is pronounced “Hue”-ningKai like the word “hue” not hunning. They killed this stage. They were so nervous that no one would show up for their stage but so many MOAs showed up. And this was on a different day than Hobi’s set so those fans are there for TXT not just waiting for Hobi. They brought that crowd in on their own and I’m so proud.
It’s not that serious… I understand he didn’t say it correctly, but he has an accent so I think it’s ok. Also he’s a baby Moa and probably wasn’t aware they came on separate days

They were jumping and dancing so hard but Thier vocales were still sooo good i was literally impreesve i also saw many ppl who went there on Twitter talking about how good Thier vocales were!!

32:22 they're not joking! at festivals like these, there aren't just moa's. there are also army's and people who have never heard of kpop before. so they thought not as many moa's would show up but they did!!!! so yeah :3
I am an 2020 ARMY who recently started to really listen to TXT and watch their content and I have FALLEN IN LOVE. ❤️ I am SO proud of them and excited for them as they have finally been able to tour. I watched their Seoul concert online as well and just loved it. They have been a bright light in my life lately and I am just so thankful I found them. Also love the mutual support that BTS and TXT have for each other as well the support between so many ARMYS AND MOAS. 😌💜❤️

We're with you on TxT, performing at more festivals. Let's hope that the Lollapalooza organization realizes that TxT can more than handle being headliners in 2023. TxT adapted their movements to be bigger and stronger, so the audience could see them better. Next time, let's have giant screens on both sides of the stage so the fans standing on the ends and far in the back will see much more of their performance. TxT has repeatedly said they would love to perform at Coachella, so hopefully, somebody there is listening and will send an invitation for 2023. Why not SXSW(South By South West) too? Thank you for your reaction. FYI 0X1 Lovesong was/is their opening song for their concert in US & Seoul. The one who scream go is Taehyun ( I saw from one of fancam recorded by people who went to the festival).
By the way 31st August, they will release new Japanese single album (only have 3 songs);
1) Good Boy Gone Bad Japanese Version
2) New Japanese song written by TXT (we still dont know either few of them or all of them will be writing but they say it is for MOA )
3) New Japanese ballad song written by Japanese singer songwriter; Hitori no Yoru (Lonesome Night). I hope you can react to Good Boy Gone Bad Japanese mv which will be released end of this month.

About the phones, tbh idk, bc when I went to BTS' wings tour I didn't record a single thing and I regret it to this day, so when I went to the smtown concert to actually enjoy it I recorded the concert but my phone was below my chin so I could actually see and let people see... but ig everyone has their own way of enjoying things

Only Hoseok and TXT that are “kpop” performed in lollapalooza. TXT performed first, the next day Hoseok headlined. TXT is the first Korean Group to perform in Lollapalooza while Hoseok is the first Korean artist to Headline Lollapalooza.

When I first heard Valley of Lies I thought Iann Dior had way too many lines, then I watched the Lollapalooza performance and realised that his voice just fit in that well I couldn't tell them apart, which is tough to do in a foreign language!
ETA: I went to many festivals in the 90s and 00s and you are right about the memories over phones but also have a lot of photos from the time too. We get them out and remember the names of the random friends we made and weekend flings.

I used to go to Lollapalooza every year, but it was in California. I saved my first shirt that lists all the bands on the back, but I think I saved it too long! I don’t know if people have heard of Henry Rollins, Nine Inch Nails, and Pearl Jam. Lollapalooza’s back then had new upcoming artists I had never heard of, So, Idk if it still has that rep. Maybe that’s why they thought people showed up just to check them out. Also, I give the band 11/11. Hobi and Jimin were at this show but I didn’t see them in this. They were between the security barrier and the stage, stage right.
