Honestly, after seeing this pov, I feel better about this attraction. The indoor scene where the minecart jumps tracks seems better in darkness and the flow does feel pretty good. Also, hearing the reactions from the people riding it shows that the ride does pack some unexpected thrills. Of course the ride is going to be short due to the small footprint and the fact that rollercoasters are fast (duh), but I do not think it is too short since the experience seems well worth it. My only concern would be waiting 2 hours just to ride this 1-minute ride. I love the animatronics, the false-track is super convincing from the video's perspective, and the music and theming seems well thought out despite what many people are saying. Personally, I think Universal hit the jackpot with this ride and it will be a worthy addition to Epic Universe in 2025! Does anyone else agree or am I the only one that feels this way?

It surprised me, because I wasn't expecting much... 😄 I managed to go on the ride twice, the first time without any waiting time, and the second time 20 minutes, however, we were among the first in line at the entrance gate... We arrived at 5:20 in the morning 😅, the gate opened at 7:20 (the park's opening hours were scheduled for 8:30).
my only complaint is that tiki tong's head should of been much much bigger at the part where he destroys the track, i get they have to work with the space they have and wanted to show his hands grabbing/ bending the track (thus giving the head less room) but i still wish it could of been enlarged, maybe epic universe's version will be a bit different, but overall it looks very fun! edit: the DK animatronic at the end looks great and he seems to be smacking a more accurately sized tiki tong head
In this part of the attraction I also noticed that the tiki tong's head could be bigger... But they managed to make up for it right at the end of the track! 😄 Although the DK animatronic didn't appear much in the video, he really looked amazing.😊
When I played the Donkey Kong game when I was a kid, I used to laugh at how the minecart rails were broken but he kept jumping and running. I never thought it would come true like this.
I feel like for those people complaining about the track: bro. nintendo is family company. it's a family coaster. you wouldn't expect inversions at disneyland.
It’s not the lack of thrill, the whole point of dk and this ride is the mines and you really go through once. And it’s half finished. Very generic in some areas too for dk. Just doesn’t look that fun as expected. And I’m not even biased cause I thought this ride would be overrated. It’s to short and is just ok
the ride is half empty, thats the complaint. No one cares if its scary or huge. Remember the jurassic park original ride with dinosaurs everywhere and some of them spitting on people? thats the way to do it
I wouldn't say it's the lack of inversions, it just looks kinda forceless. Also both Disneyland (California) and Disneyland Paris have coasters with inversions, so that's not even a valid point to argue.

@@Syrup-n3t it's not lazy if it's meant to work if you're not meant to see everything in the dark it makes more sense to build what you will see. It's not lazy. The ride still looks great for the most part
My only complaints are the lift hill segments since those randomly don’t have tracks, the drops where you can see the real track on full display for a bit too long (aka the first drop right after both lift hills), and the cave bit. Otherwise, it’s a really good concept.
Tbh I was expecting something more like big thunder mountain mixed with hagrid’s ride: A family coaster that lasts 1 more minute at least. More indoor parts, with King K Rool and some kremlings. Tiki is not bad but kremlins are more nostalgic and more supportive for the franchise. The ride looks family friendly and that’s great, but just 2 min ride :( And this game is telling us that the next DK game for switch 2 will be tiki themed :( not K K Rool :(
