"Where do you find vocals for your tracks?" is one of the most common questions I get from upcoming producers. And for good reason, good vocals can be tough to find and have become more important that ever before.
While most producers just turn to Splice, in this video I'm going to show you a bunch of other places to look and strategies to use for getting vocals. These include platforms where you can buy either Exclusive or Non-Exclusive vocal recordings, platforms where you can hire fellow musicians and singers to record vocals for you, leveraging small sample pack companies to find more rare vocals, finding old acapellas on RUclips, recording your own voice, and finally downloading audio samples offline.
If I missed anything in here, please let me know in the comments so we can keep the discussion going!

Hey bro, I have one question can you please clear that up for me?
The problem with Splice is that all the vocals just sound the same too. Idk how to explain it but they all have this RnB/pop/rap/"I'm from the Caribbean" sound. I've spent hours on this site and have found nothing but the will to end my life.
Perfectly said 😂😂😂
Lmaoo so true. Fuck splice
So true!!
😂
?
Huge respect for sharing all this knowledge and putting the samples out🙏❤️
Thanks a lot mate, you rock 🖤 I hope you’ll do more stuff like this 🙏
of course!
I had no clue you had a RUclips Channel…I love your work on Confession, Bite This!, In / Rotation, etc! You probably don’t know me by my RUclips account but you replied to one of my Insta stories and it was a highlight for me! Keep up the great music and vids!!!!
ayyy much love dude!
Dude! I love your music! So stoked to find you on RUclips!👑🔥🙌
Ayy thank you so much for the love Lance!
Great advice on using your own voice. There are lots of vocal processors that will make your voice sound like Adele (not really, but hey, give it a shot) to some mystical siren on a mountain.
Oh wow I remember that news clip! I was making a YTPMV of it years ago! What a throwback!
5 best use it all the time it takes lots of time and searching but if you have an ear it will work for sure
The intro had me dying LMFAO -- but bro if smaller artists are using vocals it should be fine. As long as yours pops and your audience enjoys it, should be fine!
Much appreciated dude, only knew about a few of these strategies but happy to expand my knowledge!🙏🏻
Of course Jon! Glad you enjoyed dude.
Thank you its given me ideas on what to do as a vocalist

Hahahahaha I snickered when you pulled up edmwarriors I sell full songs that don’t fix my known style on that website.
How do you download the vocals from RUclips ?
This problem is such a pain in a ass... THANK YOU!
How do you check licensing of an acapella? I have this track I'm remixing
Great vid
at 9:42, isn't that copyrighted ?? Doesn't that interview belong to the news company?
I just chop the CRAP out of the samples and make them say weird stuff
But I'm always excited for ANY quality sample
I'm probably dating myself here a bit, but if you like classic deep house from the 90's, Lady Kier from the group Deee-Lite had a great sampling voice and even put out a remix album in the 90's called "Sampledelic Relics & Dancefloor Oddities" which had tracks with isolated vocals specifically for anyone to use. I've never actually heard anyone sample her in any modern commercial music of today, only obscure underground rave music from the early 90's which you can only find on vinyl. But she was a legend in the early rave scene, but also kinda forgotten in today's world of dance music.
This is so good. I am preparing to make some vocal packs. I was going to give dry vocals for producers to have freedom. I haven't bought a pack yet (as I don't need vocals) but I noticed there is always a song and backing music to the samples. Is this just for the showcase and then there are plain vocals in the pack? What's the protocol?
Hate to be the one shamelessly plugging themselves in the comments but I have a bunch of brand new royalty free acapellas available now on my RUclips if anyone's in need of soft female vocals for house music!
MVP
Thats u Billy
thats a goodie,fukin ryimes
how to find out the melody from a sample pack has been used somewhere else?
WTF ! I hate it too, hate when i made a track and then check spotify and then i find 40+ other versions in different pitchs LOL
Haha its happened to the best of us my friend
very helpful video. Have you ever used Beatport for vocals?
Any good youtube converter/downloaders that doesnt flood your computer with malware?
theres also phase inverting
What’s up with everyone using the Kanye stem player to isolate vocals? Is there a way to extract the acapella thru the stem player?
Are we allowed to use clips from youtube videos? Or would we run into licensing issues
A lot of the time probably not. It would depend if it’s copyright free or not.
Btw thank you bro
nice
🔥🔥
Thanks for convincing me to save 12.99 a month
what are the name of the samples at the start on the video??
I'm trying to get my music on Spotify, and I was trying to find like royalty free acapella sites you don't have to pay for? The RUclips acapella thing is a good idea but if it's from a song that's already been released on there I would obviously run into copyright issues. Do you know of any free vocal sites?
sounds like ill be using my gf on my tracks lol, thanks homie
i Forgots to Check *Mess By ALENN & SIIK* 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
