I totally agree with you Angela. It is the worst camera I have ever had. I don't know how much precious moment of my kids I have lost with this rubbish camera !!! I cant even resell it 'cos it is so rubbish. It never focus, it shut the sound off on video, the video cut itself of with no reason, the video sometimes change mode to other function and cut itself off, the shuttle doesn't come down when I press the button, the mode to the camera change itself without me touching anything and I have to wait till it finished playing up itself before I can take a photo. It is the shitest camera anyone can buy. My advice to people who are thinking of getting one is DON'T BUY IT !!! and my advice to Samsung is REFUND me please !!!!
+Yuko Ishida I have this camera (in blue) and like it a lot, although I don't need some of the features and don't understand everything about them. I wanted a good camera with a good zoom that I could keep in my purse (I already have a DSLR but don't carry it around with me all the time and missed too many photo opps!) You may have received a model that had something wrong with it, or you may be experiencing problems getting to know the features, or a combination of both. It's possible the focus got inadvertently changed to manual focus, for example. Also, the shutter will not completely take a photo unless you depress it fully; it takes that time to focus. Ideally, you should depress the shutter halfway, allow the camera to focus for a tiny moment, then finish pressing the shutter all the way. If you press it like an old-fashioned film camera, you may not get a good focus. I have seen a lot of people try to press the shutter down like that and I have to explain to them that you need to be sure the shutter finishes. I think cameras vary in how sensitive shutters are, too, and maybe some focus differently and don't require the slow press of the shutter. Also, you may be moving the camera just slightly; if you practice being patient with the shutter, you may see less of this. I have taken many too-quick photos without allowing that split second of focus, and some have been blurry, but they were of things that were happening very fast. I have noticed the modes on the camera change occasionally; I think I sometimes bump the dial and it turns a little too easily. If a video plays, you can stop it by hitting the OK button. The other video problems you describe do sound frustrating. It might be helpful if you could show the camera to a camera-savvy friend who might be able to find a way around the problems.
i just bought his camera and I am having problems with it every time I turn it on it says connecting to computer is it only me this happens to? defective camera??
Don't give up your day job. That would have to be one of the worst reviews I've seen in some time. I spent the first half of the video wondering when we were going to get a decent lengthy full shot of the camera. I think you mentioned the zoom 5 or 6 times in a row and you completely lost it many times. You obviously didn't study the manual pre shoot and you missed a number of features you should have mentioned. Who shows stills on the back of a camera. Can't you figure out how to edit them straight into the video from the SD card? If you're considering doing more reviews I suggest you sit down and watch as many other reviews as possible, find a number of good presenters and notice how they work. I'm not saying to copy them, but get an idea of how it's done. Oh yes and throw that fade in feature away. It sounds as if you've left, gone on holiday and returned to finish off the video, well not literally, but you get the idea. One tip a lot of RUclipsrs could take heed of, You don't need a gimmick or a special format to your review. Nothing is nailed down, relax and as lib a little. At the moment Number one tip. Show us the complete camera, but in part of your review things went bad, you had your video camera far too close and at one stage you were whiting out. You should be able to pick these mistakes either during the shoot or during editing and then reshooting until you got it right. Please accept this as a helping hand. yes I was somewhat tough to begin, but I got your attention. If you want to make a living out of RUclips you have a lot of good competition and at the moment almost all of them are leading the pack. Or perhaps you've given it away by now and I've wasted my time typing this.
Do you think it is still a good choice now in 2024?
I think it's very dated now, running an old version of Android

+Yuko Ishida maybe cause you don't know how to use it. and cameras hate when stupid people use them.
+Alex F. Cameras don't feel anything. People do. You shouldn't call people stupid.
