That MUST be fun!! My friend and I built a Samurai around 1990. We were much better racers than crawlers back then.... We just reinforced the chassis, added CJ axles, Trans and gearbox - and a 3.8 litre, Turbo Buick engine out of a Grand National. 😲😲 Believe it or not, TOO MUCH power is actually possible! On the slightest incline, if we hit the throttle a little too hard - it would BACK FLIP!!!! 😁 😕😲😲😲 Looks like you did it right. ~ Carmine

I eventually sold it - not complaining - was good fun - was great watching it being built and was good fun driving it - but like everything else it has a time frame and that ship sailed now...... and moved on to more manageable cars, hence: RC Cars :)

The tyre is an "Insa Turbo" by brand and the model, if I remember well, is "Special Track" - but it has been a few years now and I am not 100% sure about the model name!
Steering drag link tie rod replacement? One tie rod end screws on but the other side is welded with no visible way to remove tie rod or install one? Do I need to buy entire drag linkage new
If you are going to start a new project it would be good if your donor car was in good shape but then it can also be repaired - depending how far you want to build yours, most of what you have will be replaced anyways!
Did u build this in India because i can see "gypsy" badge on rear replacement door and "Maruti" badge on the replaced hood ? Samurai is sold as gypsy in India.
Built in Malta. We have the Maruti Gypsy here - the rear door and the whole front part of this Suzuki is from a dismantled Maruti Gypsy. It was cost effective to get these and use them and sell off the original Suzuki parts :)

so 15k dolar. i wouldnt go as extreme as you i would weld the chasy with co2 and i would put some tar(katran) on it. i would buy bigger shocks and tires and fix the body work and paint it i would do it by myseld and my dad
The Samurai has King coil over shocks in both front and rear and were ordered specifically for it to ride that high, with the ability to change the ride height and stiffness.
