    ABOUT ELIJAH YATES
    Elijah Yates is a recording artist and multi-faceted entertainer.
    since first being recognized for his highly-successful mixtape Art Of Story Telling under the name SoSiK. Top 40 New York calling it The birth of soulful hip hop mixed with the modern day melodic music. Elijah Yates has asserted himself as a trailblazing artist and producer in the creative world. released his mixtape Born Again in 2014 and his massive influence in the hip-hop and jazz music space has commanded the market since, with no end in sight.
    The Project spawned 2 singles The Way It Should Go and Muthafucka. Resulting in reaching chart success.
    As Pop culturez writer Tom 'Slim' Clover writes 'Lyrically, SoSiK keeps matters on the level, never aiming for over-blown gangsterisms or any such fakery, instead opting to keep matters close to the realities of life for most. He confounds expectations. He raps about sentimental things. While the lyrics flow with a laid-back pace, it is the production that brings things together with some fine instrumentation accenting the crisp breaks and some well-placed samples. Thanks to his versatility as a producer and artist, he is the glue that binds together modern day hip hop with a little of the 90's."
    Elijah has catapulted into stardom not only as an artist, but as a cultural maven with the Mount Athos brand. Still young and hungry with years ahead he is a artist that will define time.

    There's already a genre called lifestyle rap. Likes of curren$y, larry june, the cool kid, etc. Guys that just rap about the day to day. Very refreshing

    You make a great point @ 3.38 re Gangsta rap. Iovine & Co. found a way to monetize the negative aspects of a particular economic demographic. Dre had no qualms about exploiting the disenfranchised to line his pockets. Now those clowns have gone corporate, appeared in kids movies etc.
    Great channel, respect.

    Industry plants
    1. Future- pushes drug use and gang stuff and he’s not like that he even admitted multiple times he don’t do the stuff he promote in his song
    2. NBA youngboy- the music and the stuff he do now after he became the biggest artist explains itself
    3. Sexy red/ sukiana - pushes the narrative that black women are ratchet and over sexual (if you know history this one makes sense)
    4. Rod wave- he pushes suicidal music (because if you listen to his music he constantly talks about being depressed and dieing take tombstone for example) so he basically push self destructive music
    5. Lil nas x- after his buzz heightened that’s when he fully showed how gay he was and started promoting demonic stuff and he pushed being gay onto the kids with his music mind you before Obama became president and made gay marriage legal and gave them more rights it’s been an extreme push to make more and more people gay mind you if a artist came out and said he was gay in the past his career was basically over
    5. Nikki Minaj- made women not love their self and opened the door for the plastic surgeries and bbls in the black community before her bbls were frowned upon
    **This is just some to name but it’s more beyonces one too**

      Country artist sell out stadiums 60,000-80,0000 people shows.
      Pop artist sell out arenas like MSG 20,000
      Only Pop artist selling arenas like country is Taylor swift and her first 4 albums are country. Latin music is the only other competitor with Bad Bunny selling stadiums.

    No it didn’t start with drug dealing rap. It started with the ignorance of Gangster rap i.e. NWA…drug dealer rap was still intelligent bc Jay Z wasn’t unintelligent despite telling drug dealing stories…the mid to late 90’s/early 2000’s was the era when hip hop was street, gangster and hustler but still lyrical and ladened with gems and intellect.

    • @elijahyatesbeats
      @elijahyatesbeats  4 месяца назад

      I mention both in the video bro gangster rap then drug dealing rap. I believe both where the start though because you had other rappers besides Jay Z saying something different

    • @ShonContra724
      @ShonContra724 4 месяца назад +1

      @@elijahyatesbeats no for sure. I heard you. What I’m saying is it wasn’t the drug dealing rap that hurt hip hop/rap…I believe it was the sheer ignorance of “gangster rap” and namely NWA…they brought abt promotion of the ignorant black man in America also thereby giving birth to the privatization of the prisons being built and filled with black boys bc of the glorification and perpetuation of gang culture in music. Ignorance became popular but only to the unintelligent black man, woman and child. Whereas drug dealing rap was abt hustling and getting money, not the blatant promotion of black on black crime that was and still is gang banging…nowadays it’s all blurred, gangster music, drug dealing and drug using has become a hybrid genre all of its own. Now our black youth are truly doomed and destined to fail.

      Doubt if we have any African taken from Africa still alive

      its "Black American"
