  • In this video, Nicole Masters explains how poor soil management encourages the presences of pests, weeds, and disease and how regenerative management can mitigate these issues.
    The RegenerateLA Training is designed to provide City staff, land managers, and soil health advocates with information on 1) how to build and maintain soil health, 2) how to compost and why composting organic waste is an important way to promote climate resilience, and 3) using native plants to promote ecological resilience. In Series 1, Nicole Masters covers how to assess soil health, why soil health is important, and how regenerative land management can reduce inputs and costs and increase resilience.

    Good one Nichole. From south africa. I try to follow nature and do give a boost to the micro nutrients if necessary (sap analysis). Also worms and johnson su bioreactors to try to increase fungi - bacteria ratio.
    My suspicion is that a lot of soil life needs more fungi to really thrive.

    Nicole...40tons per ha is a lot of compost. Is there any other way we can improve soil?
