Only making like 70k a year though

I think it's at least $135k per year now.
But yeah - Bre should be making $2 million to $5 m per year.
No doubt. Multiple time MVP winner etc
The NBA should see a salary correction downward - Giannis is a good guy, Steph etc. But they are not worth $40 million per year.
On the other hand the women should be making ALOT more.

@@MrLarryLessor yea it is kind of messed up how much nba makes compared to WNBA but the amount of money steph or Giannis bring in single handedly is a lot more then the whole WNBA makes as a league u can only pay someone relative to how much the company is making if she got paid 2 to 5 million the wnba would go bankrupt I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the wnba has never made a profit ever

I understand the whole supply-demand argument.
I think pure "Market" arguments - from all my years of studying Econ, having graduated from an Ivy League econ school 20 years ago:
I think pure Market arguments ignore realities & human errors/flaws/biases/prejudices:
People will lie just try to support their point: And if people (including a lot of men and even some women) want to see "Women aren't athletic or as good at basketball or whatever" - they can use these arguments to say "this is why I and many people don't even watch the game" etc.
There are a LOT of uneducated/ unenlightened men and women living in small counties all across the USA who don't believe and therefore dont' support women's pro sports.
A lot of girls don't grow up playing these sports - I coach girls 6, 7, 8 so they learn how to shoot a jumper, or swing a golf club or baseball bat, and slap a hockey stick. I know a twin girl who is more mentally strong right now than he more athletic twin brother. That's just the way they were born sort of.
But environment and the way people treat them matters a lot: If the women had the resoources and people invested in all the advertising and the hype that the men get, then yeah, more young kids/ girls / even young boys would ask their parents "LET"S GO TO A WNBA GAME!""
But it doesn't happen as much - because partly the media isn't as excited about hyping up those games........ I have to work hard to find out what time women's games are. But that stuff is all over the ads for what time NBA games are etc.
But all it takes is a few huge stars - just like Larry & Magic in 1980: Those 2 rose the profile of the NBA. The ACTUAL NBA game in 1980 and through 1990 etc. was actually DEEPER, better, more complete: Teams were deeper than they were by lebron's era of 2010 or now etc.
The 1980s NBA had LOW RATINGS - they were on tape delay. NBA Finals wasn't even on live TV. But the QUALITY of basketball back then if you really study it is better than today. They didn't need special "No Hand Check " rules to increase the score of games. They played at a really fast pace - guys today could do that but they don't bc no one forces them or motivates them to do that. Why run up and down the court when you can make $30m or $10million per year walking the ball up with no full court pressure?
      OVERPAID dudes.
Think about it: The NBA champ in 2016 had a starting center named Ilgouzkas lol
That would not fly in the 1980s when you had legends anchoring the pivot like extremely skilled and athletic Moses Malone, Robert Parish, Kareem

WIth Breanna Stewart, Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, and now soon to be pro (in a few years) Paige Bueckers, caitlyn clark, Didi Richards etc.
The womens' game should be hyped ALOT MORE: And then you will see ratings go up when people start getting used to knowing "Oh, Sunday afternoons are my WNBA time" or "Friday Nights" or "Wednesday Nights".
It's like a hit TV show - get a certain time slot where EVERYONE REMEMBERS "That's the time this show comes on" - and the ratings will improve, ticket prices will go up.
      Salaries will go up.
Pure "Supply & Demand" arguments are a lot of bull-S.....t
We dont' live in a vacuum - and that's what "pure supply & Demand" tries to argue- as if we live in a fictitious scientific vacucum.
People are prejudiced. Donald Trump showed that. That's just how the world is. It takes a lot to prove people's prejudices wrong. Breanna stewart is so good she could beat many college male players...
But a lot of men get so angry hearing that - and they don't want her to succeed vs. men.
They should put women in the 3-pt competition with men. The best women vs. the best men.

@@MrLarryLessor total agree with what ur saying hopefully more people start to notice there skill but it's going to take a while before that happens the nba back in the day was a lot more ruff do to hand checking but as a whole the nba is way more skilled then any time before the shots that r being made now on a consistent basis are incredible in the 70s players wouldn't even take those shots at practice let alone a game but now there being made at over 40% players r far more athletic then before as well to the point were before u could make it in the nba off of pure athleticism but now every player is incredibly athletic they have to have skills there isn't going to b another dwight Howard probably ever because he has very little skill those player r being fazed out how many players couldn't do what kevin Durant could do in the 70s or 80s no one was 7 foot could shoot dribble and get to the basket like that even lebron at 6'8 265 how many players at that build could u run the offense threw and would average 10 assist a game shoot 3s and get to the basket at will most of the greats could play today but a lot of them would have trouble
