Ah I was actually thinking about a Donut Club the other day. Thank you for the encouragement. I will keep you posted on it x
What a Horse.. True Cross Country athlete, as he gets stronger abs and back, he will keep improving, dressage, makes great galloping and jumping horses, I've always said he is an exceptional horse, a massive course in terrible conditions.. BravO Donut, so brave and bold, he is a class horse in every respect he will take you far, he is a knight in shining armOur sent for you his evangelist 🐎💃⭐💜
Am blown away by Donut's performance. You were both brilliant🥳. I think that dressage can always be worked on (fine-tuned), as can showjumping - but to have a horse who is brave & a 'thinker' - those skills can't be taught - Donut has those skills in spades. How he flew around the cross-country (& how well you rode him) - fantastic. Very well done, both of you🤗
Yes he really does have the heart and brain for the XC which makes me so excited. Like you say, we can teach the other phases but having his attitude to XC is a massive leg up x
He loves his work. Steps out of water often create issues. So glad he kept his footing.
It’s hard to judge the ground line with water but he was super clever to stay on his feet x
Doughnut is a cross country machine!!!! 🧡🧡
Wow donut is amazing Evie he’s so smart. Maggie looks better and she’s dying to get in the field bless her. Great results may they continue.tfs🤗🏇🤗
Congratulations❤❤🎉🎉🎉 he had a wonderful time ,well done both 🎉🎉🎉.❤❤
You should be proud! The ground was awful and it is still very early days at this level. Well done. So happy Maggie is back home.
The future looks brilliant - well tested and well done. Nice to see Maggie home.
❤ Wow! Donut is taking Novice by storm 🎉 ~ it's lovely to watch! 😊 xOx
Great video. Great run. Donuts dressage has gotten better. Can't wait for the next video.
I love your way of riding around these courses. Your horse gets the chance to learn and figure things out. Well done!
Yes I like them to do it because I hey want to and not because they’ve been hurried through x
Well done 👋, some of those fences were huge close up and the combinations were so technical! What a horse Donut is becoming under your careful production of him 🧡.
Well done you two. Lovely combination.😊
Well done guys & a confident happy boy at the end of the day . A real pleasure to watch the progression of you both & a very sensible approach to a new level Donut is a a super star in the making , he is the whole package . You are doing a fabulous job as I said a real pleasure to watch
Thank you ♥️
What a good boy, Donut! Love all your prep to keep your boy confident. ❤❤❤
Wow, Donut loves his jumping, ears pricked looking for the next fence, what a dude, great to see Maggie home and trying to boss the vlog lol, well done 🎉xx
She loves to be centre of attention 🙈♥️
I love your approach! You really give him time to think instead of rushing him, just shows the confidence you have in his ability. I think donut also picks up on how you feel so he’s not worried about anything he’s just figuring it out.
I really trust him and think it’s important to give him chance to learn so he has good foundations as we move up the levels ♥️
So Scopey and clever XC and that’s what counts. The rest will come together as he moves really well too
Well done, he is so classy. And quite a flashy mover after your dressage lesson!
Yes, who would have thought it! X
Donut it's eventing you LOVE it , Good efert in you dressarg test .you can SO there is improvements. 👍 some time you just Take as a training day . Wow HOW GOOD IS he at x.c. 👍👍 .hopefully YOU both had a great time, AND THANK YOU to your mum for all her WORK. Take care and all the best. 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍💟💖🐶
He really does love it doesn’t he! ♥️
That was a good educational round for Donut…. well done 👍
Amazing riding Evie! Donut is just so talented, you two are such a wonderful pair ❤
Really well ridden around the XC. Well done to both of you!
unreal round! Well done Evie & Donut!!
Great job.
Well done poundstretcher and the ginger god, this is the period where you are right to teach these events as training days and not think about being competitive, that will all slot into place in your time.. xx
Agreed, hopefully producing him for the future 🤞🏻
Well done, he is so honest x
Super honest horse, well done and enjoy your journey.
As a dressage rider, I agree, he looks so much better in the clips of your lesson you posted! You can see the quality of his movement really improve
Yes he felt like a different horse! I’m excited for more lessons to help keep us on the right track x
What a clever boy in xc donut is ,! Super
So proud and impressed w/this guy - remember your starting w/him - great job!!
We’ve come a long way! ♥️
Wowser. What a wonderful event. Rubbish ground in dressage and showjumping wasn’t it.
And I think you had a rather harsh dressage judge (in my opinion).
But xcountry, he was so clever to get himself out of a couple of tight moments. Clever chap. He is just growing every time out isn’t he. Onwards. Great job.
I love how you take your time with your horses! Giving Maggie time to heal and Donut to process this new level. He has such potential for the dressage, just needs more milage and a bit more training. Showjumping...I believe I saw the same venue with Justine Ward but in her video I did not quite realise how bad the ground truly was. The warm-up looked like a freshly plowed field, the arena not much better. You did fabulous. And the xc - he clearly has so much fun and loves the challenge of figuring stuff out and having your trust and confidence while he's doing it.
Ah well I have learned taking our time is in fact the quickest and best way to get to where we want to be. So they can have all the time they need.
Justine did the same event but was on the day before me so hopefully she got slightly better ground. I was really chuffed with how he managed on the going x
You can really see the potential he has to be such an exciting horse 😍 bless him you could really see his brain working overtime in the dressage, there was a lot going on in that test! He's such a special boy, can't wait to see him this time next year if this is how he's going now! Xx
It’s exciting to think about where we might be next year. Just taking it one step at a time currently x
Well done both ❤ x.
Great to watch. Donut know what is what, great performance,
My thoughts for what it’s worth. XC - Wow!! Donut did fantastic on a tough track!! So many questions so quickly!! You did a fantastic job also!! Dressage - how can you be judged properly riding in such conditions? In the US we don’t test on grass. And I think Donut was not happy with how quickly things were changing. Like you said, he wasn’t lifting his tummy. SJ - ditto for conditions. And you both did a great job!! Overall it was a day of learning and you should be proud!!! 🩷🩷
I think if the weather continues like this year we may see more venues with arenas… the only benefit is that we are all on the same ground give or take so have an equal challenge (as if eventing isn’t hard enough 😆)
I’m so proud of him jumping around an upper level Novice track the way he did, hopefully the future is bright 🥰
Wow! He looks great in the dressage lesson clips!
such a star! way to go!!
So enjoy your vlogs always dreamed of owning a horse so I get to watch it through you well done donut ❤
What a fun horse. I laughed when you said it was the first time you had jumped stirrup-less in quite some time! Isn’t that always the way? But you did it well.
Haha I should do more without stirrups really but whenever I jump at home they’re much naughtier than at a show and everything gets quite bouncy 😆🙈
What a good boy 😎😎
For the dressage part (no hate!) I would start by trying to keep your hands more still. Just helps with better communication with the horse! But i dont know what you need to do to ride him or whatever, just a little tip!
Your dressage lesson footage is incredible!!
Working hard to keep recreating it x
He really is going to be an upper level horse for you! Do you have big plans for the two of you?
I am hopeful that we can move up a few more grades at least 🤞🏻♥️
