    Watching these old clips...makes me wonder if there is any politician who is actually like the ones that were portrayed on this series... because we as a country sure could use a healthy dose of leadership like that nowadays 🙂

      The show runners based Santos on then-senator Obama

    • @lordhawkeye
      @lordhawkeye 2 года назад +4

      They exist but we as a people do not get to vote for them. What we see thrown at Santos is but a fraction of how things are done behind the scenes. Those few who are able to rise above the muck quickly lose steam and flame out well before the debates happen. How Santos eventually wins is several parts fantasy.

      I have had the chance to meet some of this nation’s leaders over the years - even got to know a few. There are good people…on both sides - that have substance and a heart and a soul. They probably want to say these sorts of things, truly care about this nation.
      Alas, in the era of the 10-word, 5-second, 140-character sound bite, slogan, Tweet, or bumper sticker…explanations require more time than the average voter’s attention span typically lasts.

    That last season of TWW was probably the best season they had. I could agree with both candidates running and because both actors made them likable and worth voting for.
    The irony of the last season was that it was in many ways a foreshadowing of the Obama McCain race. Unfortunately I really didn’t like either candidate that race

      Nah it was good but no way near the first 4 season when Sorkin was still writing.

    • @Craig-ib7gk
      @Craig-ib7gk 2 года назад +1

      @@eddiewinehosen6665 I have to agree. The numbers concur as well. The series absolutely tanked after Sorkin left. Not even one of the final three seasons ranked equal or higher in viewership or award recognition than *any* of the first four, and by the time they were wrapping up season 7 they were all the way down to their series all-time-low ranking at #65. That, compared to their all-time-high during season 3 at #10. In the end they were handily being beaten out by Extreme Makeover : Home Edition in the same time slot. In fact, they were already starting to slide during Sorkin's last season, but they really pointed the nose into the mountain and turned on the afterburners after he departed for good.

    • @woozy7405
      @woozy7405 2 года назад +1

      @@Craig-ib7gk It was primarily the slot change that resulted in their viewership tanking. The characters lost anything new to say and became dull after Sorkin departed and the last riveting moment in the show's timeline was probably Bartlett relinquishing the presidency to Walken. And personally I didn't like the character of Matt Santos. Bland.

      @@eddiewinehosen6665 That's your opinion, Eddie. Please don't tell us what to think. I also enjoyed seasons 6-7, mainly because it was a much better depiction of a presidential campaign than Bartlet's reelection campaign.

    Really, really nice job with synching the voice to video, it almost matches 😊. I'm always grateful for people allowing themselves to be compared to others. While some will take the time and embrace trial and error, the end result is a seamless presentation without differentiation from the original. This fine example breaks from convention shoving pure 💩 and placing it to the public as a equivalent. I bet you have a trophy shelf filled with mediocre symbols of some interesting achievements that would rival any MAGA memorabilia collection.
