    Great. Back then I took a 2.50 m railroad track and made a slot in the middle for the gripper teeth. I could also use this for my big old excavator. I just had to use wire ropes on the left and right. I used it to smooth out large building plots and create paths. This version here is of course much more elegant.😁

    Thank you👍 I plan to make one someday. I tried just dragging a pallet behind me, and it works. Also tried to attach pallet with some extra weight to excavator👍

    Very interesting idea. It is somewhat limited to machines with tilt bucket options, which is not as common as a thumb. Without the tilt option you have to keep adjusting grading blade to get the machine to correct pitch, then, once you swing the house to another position, you are out of level once again. I can grab just about any piece of wood or steel with my thumb and achieve similar results, but I have to keep adjusting the angle to match the grade I need. When I'm done though, or need to add material, or excavate more aggressively, I can just toss the wood/steel off to the side and keep digging with the bucket that is still mounted on the machine. You have to disconnect and go find where you left your bucket again, or use another machine to bring more fill in. Every tool has advantages and disadvantages. Great welding project!

      You're right about that! I have not even thought about it. Here in Sweden, almost nobody is using thumbs. Almost everyone uses tilt or rotor tilt. However, I am very eager to mount a thumb on my machine. It seems to be a very good accessory.

    Great idea, but you need to get the attachment level and then back up in reverse... this way the height of the attachment is always level vice trying to operate the attachment level. Hope this makes sense.

    Would it be any use if I do not have a tilt head?

    • @altagravtjanst8134
      @altagravtjanst8134  Месяц назад

      I think you can have good use of it without tilthead too, but it requires that the machine is standing on a plane position. Easier with a tilt head for sure but It's still a nice equipment. :)

    What kind of tilt quick hitch is that?

    • @altagravtjanst8134
      @altagravtjanst8134  3 года назад

      It is a common tilt quick hitch, I don't know the brand tho. The quick connector for the bucket is called s30, a common system here in sweden. S30 for small machines, s40, s50 and so on, depending on machine size.

      I'm not sure, I sold it before I got to use it myself. But 150cm wide, and a good driver can level quite a big are I guess. Thanks to the roller you dont have to be that precice compared to those without rollers.

    What is the cost of fitting a tilty to the digger

    • @altagravtjanst8134
      @altagravtjanst8134  3 года назад

      It depends on what kind of unit really, but I would say between €650-1000 for a regular tilt like the one mounted on my machine.

    It behooves me why with a lathe at your use WHY WOULD YOU CUT THE SMALL BARS TO MAKE THE SUPPORT ON THE ROLLER when you have the lathe that you can cut the inside of the pipe and put the pin in it in one swift action. this would save the time and trouble of finding the size needed to make 4 extra pieces and could save making the cap's. By cutting the circle for each end you would have a more concentric circle for the roller and it would save time putting all of this together and .you would be welding the back of the pin and you could even double the piece for more strength. Other wise it all works.

    Snyggt jobbat! Vad använder du för utrustning? Kanske kan lägga till det i beskrivningen. Den där sågen såg (haha) fin ut! Kul att du fått så många visningar och bry dig inte om Kerry eller vad han heter som gnäller på musiken, det gör han jämt, även på min kanal och jag har bett honom göra egna videos om mina inte duger. Ha det bra!

      Tack för bra tips! Jag ska skriva ner i beskrivningen vad för grejer det är jag använder. Sågen är kanonbra! Innan har jag kört vinkelkap men det låter så ofantligt, och dessutom blir det mycket snyggare med bandsågen :)

      Hi Kerry, hehe I actually agree with you, I normally prefer without music. But as this video is in time lapse and quite long, I thought it could be nice with some relaxing music in the background and thought that classic style piece did fit. But thanks for your comment, I might considering removing it if it is too annoying. Have a good day!
