Cream will definitely affect satiety and gut. Making it with melted butter is much better IMHO and you can change how much fat you use. I make it as ice cream and not a drink, so it takes longer to consume. For my ice cream I add some xanthan gum to thicken. There are other ways to use it, too, which you can find on their Web site.
You could be implementing too much fat when you mix it! Especially if having a shake along with your meal! If you are already eating fat in your meal-and having a shake with that, really no need to add more fat because the fat you eat should activate the vitamins!
Also I find mixing with melted butter and warm water is better!
