  • The Lake Country Blue Hybrid Wool/Foam Blend Pad cuts fast and finishes down without the typical shedding of a natural wool pad. The foam infused base and fibers resist caking and matting. Easily removes 1500 sand marks and higher, leaving a Glossy finish with no hazing.

Indeed. When I have my 2017 Accord EX-L V-6 MT's oil changed at the dealer where I bought it new (I would change it myself but it's still under warranty so I let them handle it for minimal hassle), they always give me a free car wash pass. I always try to give it back to them as I will never, never, EVER let my Accord (or any other vehicle I own, for that matter) suffer such abuse!!! I'm a surveyor by profession and not a detailer, but I DO take pride in my Accord's appearance.

Great video Brian! How would these pads compare to the Uro 50/50 pads (I just received some today). I did a little test section on my Mercedes GLK, using the Sonax Maxcut and 50/50 pad, then finished with some Anglewax Perfect Polish on a white foam pad. It seems to look good after two cutting passes, but will need to get it out tomorrow into some sunlight. I appreciate your detailing wisdom and the significant effort you put into these videos!

+Apex Detail how many pads would you recommend to correct a whole car? Since they are wool do they blow out/ clean out better than microfiber allowing to utilize less? Could you do it with one pad and just blow out/ spur out after every section? Thanks again for the awesome content and continued knowledge!

How would you rate this pad next to the lake country micro-fibre cutting pad when compounding a hard stubborn top coat like Mercedes?? I had some very nasty scratches on my roof but you could not feel them but they were very visible, after i did a test patch it was clear that my roof needed to be wet sanded, so i did, i started with 1500 trizact on my DA, finished with 3000 trizact on my DA (on reflection i shouldve hand sanded with raw 1500-3000 wet & dry) but ive had a real problem correcting through the 3000 scratches. Im using a DA with lake country micro fibre and menzerna hc400, machine on 5of6, slow hand movement, after 200ml of menzerna im almost there and now have some very slight spider webbing, BUT, one thing i wanted to point out, you often mention about a 5-15` angle when using a rotary, so i tried this with my DA and did a test patch using this method and the top coat just went crystal clear, it popped and gave me the finish i was looking for. Was it heat that did it? I didnt notice the pad or paint feeling warm, the result was just amazing. Ive just ordered some sonax cutmax, if i persist with the cutmax and the microfibre pad will i get this result all over instead of having to angle my pad on my DA? Thanks for any advice.
