Like the intro a lot. I really wish I had gotten into this kind of work for a living. Most I've ever done to an engine was replacing the timing chain on a 460.
I have a 74 Electra 4 door and I want to do the 455. I want to keep everything original including all the emissions and everything. Is that possible after reworking the engine? Just want some more power and a newly redone reliable engine and I want it to be whisper quiet..
@@Myvintageiron7512 it was my grandpa's retirement car when he moved to Florida, he would be 112 if he were still here. The ride so very good in the car!
@@Myvintageiron7512 do you think if I put 18 inch wheels and a little bigger brakes on it, so you think the ride would suffer, I want to switch to disk brakes all around, the rear is drums and when I finish it I really want to be able to drive it, and I mean drive it, not just to a car show but back and forth from Cleveland to Florida.
The factory Quadrajet carb on Buicks is 800 cfm, only bigger factory installed Quadrajet carb was on the Pontiac 455 SD Trans Am Firebird's from 1973/74. I've had 4 Buick 455's. A 1972, 1974, 1976 Buick Electra 225 4 door hardtops, and a 1974 Riviera. I still have the 1972 Electra 4 door hardtop.
welcome back , miss your videos . I could literally listen to you talk all day .

Looking forward to following this build! Definitely not an engine you see every day. :D
Yes! I've been waiting to for new content from you.
1970 Buick 455’s certain car motors like out of a skylark cane from factory with 360hp and 510FT LBS OF TORQUE and they hammer
You're alive!
Good vid cant wait for more.
I have a 1970, I think, 455 from a wildcat, I will try to find the following videos. I took it out of a 1952 ford school bus.
I was wondering have you ever done a 1964 Buick Wildcat 355 engine?? I have one and trying to decide what to do
That Dodge rear is clapped out😂

@@Myvintageiron7512 I remember the brakes heating up pretty bad in the mountains, but that was before 75 was built.
7,5 Liter - 750Nm of torque, it's been done stock a lot. That's 550lbsft
where is part 2?

Good luck finding a used timing cover for less than $500 if you need one. Would he a better boat anchor... haha!
Dump the intro
I liked the intro, but a tad long.
