I thought he didn't want to be a 'Strangler' anymore? His best Live stuff is the Oldies as it is for any band. I have been a massive fan of the band since 1977, hated the 'Paul Roberts' version ( no disrespect to that man, but John Ellis who was great in The Vibrators, was also a bad fit for The Stranglers), I have really tried hard to like Hugh's solo stuff I have bought several Lp's , the last one being 'Monster, but it is just not 'The Stranglers' (and he knows it), JJ's solo Lp was no better, but the single 'Freddie Laker' was interesting . The Stranglers really were an amazing band! dx
How can you have the young drive and angst that wrote these songs in your 70's?
5 mins is a JJ song ! Terrible he's mugging everyone off these days !
Time to retire Hugh .🙉
Lacks the essential Keys
Sounds terrible without the keyboard doesn't it? The keyboard for me is what makes the stranglers so great and unique, r.i.p dave greenfield

Oh 5 Minutes ! ...what a good surprise it is. And the band sounds better : who are they ? The bass for instance is really sounding and played right !
Oh dear oh dear. Awful.
