New Technical Director Paul Mitchell has now been joined by Performance Director James Bunce, and that's even before any notable incomings have happened! Sam and Jonny are joined by Chris Waugh of The Athletic to find out more on what is happening in the inner realms of NUFC, as well as discussing who they may be targeting to bring into the club this summer!

Is this true..I’ve heard this from someone who works in the club on the finance side …Paul Mitchell wanted X&Y and a heavy pay check Amanda didn’t want to relinquish that amount of control out of loyalty to Howe When the Ashworth and then Friedman debacle happened PIF stepped in and told Amanda get Paul Mitchell in they don’t care what it costs and give him what he wants simple as that and this made Amanda’s job untenable and Howe made aware of his pace in the food chain and due to the season he had last year he needs to prioritise what’s going on on the pitch rather then worry or have an opinion about how the club is run…

Still amazes me how guys like Waugh get paid to talk about and report on the current issue around football and finance despite not javing a single clue about the words fallong out of his slack jaw.

Basically the Saudis now want to step things up a few gears. They've had time to discover what they don't like as opposed to standing back and letting things progress organically. The injuries and Tonali have made them question certain things, and to be honest it has to be a positive event if it drives the club onto trophies and a new super stadium.
There's some serious money coming to the whole of the north east through the club, mainly due to defeating the PSR shackles. Having said that, my gratitude to Amanda and Mehrdad will be timeless.

When you listen to this interview with Waugh with a degree of intelligence you will learn that his waffle is exactly just waffle,,,,his view that PIF doesn't sit very well with his views on the takeover and future structure of NUFC is a knowhow of I know absolutely nothing about the Clubs strategy and strategic moves and movements behind the scenes and as things have turned out regarding the PSR rule break the Club faced the Club seen to it that it actually stands in better position now than it did post takeover.
My personal take from this interview with waffle is that waffle nahs absolutely nothing about NUFC at all,,,though he did repeat what we already know and his knowhow isn't quite rocket science is it.

I don’t mind Elanga, he’s like madueke he’s got loads of potential and we all know how much Eddie progresses players
I doubt Howe is looking at Elanga, Mbeumo is the much more likely.

@@marmedli9124 I'd probably prefer him as well, but if I had to guess I'd imagine Brentford are loathe to lose both Toney and Mbuemo in one window. With them two gone that's the majority of their goals, and there's no guarantees that they'll be able to replace those goals, which essentially keep them up each season.
If that's the height of howes ambitions,he needs to go,elanga and mbeuno,bang average players,no way does that take us to the next level,we need top European talent,to compete.
