- The pieces and the players fall into place as the elaborate house of cards growing around the Hammer comes crashing down, as demons, police, and resurrected witches come bearing down at once. The most bizarre hero in horror comics pulls all loose ends together, and Kelley Jones displays his usual wit and weirdness in this grisly conclusion.

The most direct reference to Lovecraftian lore that I've yet seen Kelley Jones partake in. It's the monstrous tentacles from cheesy “Deep Rising” that are coming out of the water at the Hammer!
Haha, not “Samurai Cop” but “racist cop”.
Whoa, the sound effects lettering, particularly on the pages when the Hammer is interrupting the...sorcerous ritual, looks really unique, distorted and gothically horror-like. And in that scene, instead of worm-tentacles the things that Zahak sends after the Hammer look like those floating fish-things in “From Beyond”.
Yeah, the boy's epilepsy just got dropped onto that page, in this issue, for the first time in this plot. What a surprisingly 'happy' wrap-up to this story, neat and quick. The Hammer gets a gun after Boone gets a pre-human fish humanoid's arm - and he ends up in a fitting situation. Good for him! And good for Kelley. This was fun, and especially, funny. How refreshing. Thank you, Marinus, for showcasing more of Mr. Jones' lesser-publicized, non-collaborative work. I appreciate my invigorated appreciation for it. Take care and have a great day.
