I tried this in CapCut and this is probably one of the best and most realistic VHS filter I have ever seen and it's all on one free mobile app! No real VCR needed. Tip: if you want the tape damage to be more subtle, decrease the noise effect im sure this was obvious but anyway.

First of all “DV” stands for digital video meaning that is emulating DV tape and it’s just a overlay with chromatic aberration, look I know that some ppl don’t wanna do all of this but iPhone filters for vhs don’t wanna be realistic, just authentic

For the ripple effect and you need to change for the blur in need to be 100 in you don't change for the blur for ripple he don't look like the VHS you need to be 100 blur

@@VHSGUY_ANALOGCOMPANY i did it on android you just don't need to change anything but export the black and white video and overlay the color video on top of the black and white with the splice effect "lighten".

the vhs effect is too high definition, add blur to it and you're fully able to replicate vhs
The effects are pretty cool but the fatal part is i cant match the camera video contrast one. My phone has no built in editor like that:(
I would guess you are using a android put you could skip that part and continue with the grain and sharpening

If you use an android it won’t work, you could try CapCuts filter editor but you can skip the colorizing entirely and do the rwdt

You get the VCR OSD mono font and download it, go to CapCut and go to text and import text
