They need to update the technology on this. It should fire two missiles. The first one destroys the incoming missile. The second one tracks the incoming missile back to the AO and blows it up.

@@slik_ According to Wikipedia each missile costs $50,000. It's one of the cheaper missiles which makes the Iron Dome a highly efficient air defence system.
@@friedrichrubinstein2346 that's good! I didn't expect highly advanced anti-air missiles to be that cheap. But I guess mass production lowers the cost per missile?
@@slik_ The missiles used in the Iron Dome share components with the Israeli SPYDER air defence system, which lowers the production costs (as it doesn't require completely new manufacturing processes). I guess mass-production plays a role as well though, yes.
