Voiceplay and Geoff released their new videos on their patreons last Wednesday. They will be on RUclips this weekend. Voiceplay's is "Out of this world". Geoff's is " wickedly" beautiful.
The book is the Johnny Cash biography, the prison is out of commission being converted to an algae farm, 2 buildings still not converted. Yes, he played the harmonica, he had to learn for a Universal show years ago. The numbers on the shirt correspond to the names of his clones, based on the letters on you phone keypad. There was no air conditioning, 85 degrees and 90 percent humidity. Just him and Kathy that day. Great reaction guys!!
You’re right about him naming the top level patrons, but awhile back he got too many patrons to put all the names in the video. So only the top three tiers are listed in the outdo. As of today he has over 1800 patrons. I love your reactions, even (especially?) when you suddenly go off on a tangent. (Jake brake, indeed! But you’re right) Kathy not only put the numbers on the shirts (their significance has already been explained in your comments) but they were only able to get shirts with red thread holding the buttons. So Kathy used a black marker to carefully cover all the red thread. When Geoff and Kathy were let into the prison and started to unload equipment, the guy that let them in asked when the rest of the crew would arrive. They had to explain that Kathy WAS the crew. (I guess with 7 Geoffs it’s still an embarrassment of riches!) I’ve been trying to wait patiently for you to react to VoicePlay’s latest, Drunken Sailor. It’s hilarious!
And if they liked the”Jake Brake” low note in this, I can’t wait till they hear what he does in Drunken Sailor. Plus it will be very enjoyable to watch the two of them laugh their heads off.
His Jake Brake note was a specific flavour of low singing called Over Darkening (thank you Peter Barber for teaching me all about that). While some people don't consider it "proper vocal technique", it still takes skill to do correctly, and Geoff does enjoy that style for theatrical emphasis (he does it lots in his Headless Horseman cover so it sounds dark and creepy). Basically it has to do with pulling your tongue back in your mouth and partially blocking or muffling the sound, making it sound "darker". I laughed so hard at the Jake brake comment though 😂😂😂
I've seen Peter's reactions to Geoff where he mentions that! It's why the first singer in I See Fire sounds so different from the Geoff who sings the refrain in his more normal voice. Apparently it's something that Thurl Ravenscroft did a lot, who is a bass singer that Geoff really looks up to.
Where is your beard, sir?! 😂 This is just Geoff being Geoff, lol. He's always creative and surprising. That range just keeps creeping lower and lower. Super fun reaction guys!
Yes, the names he calls out are his top tier patrons, the names rolling in the list are his three top patrons, I think. He’s got over 1000 patrons, I think around 1500, and all of us cannot fit into that list 😊. I love this version of Folsom Prison (I enjoy Johnny Cash’s too!)! And yes, four different shirts that Kathy prepped for this video, adding the different numbers that are vides for his clones’s names😂
This was sooo good. I loved all the easter eggs in it as well. The numbers on their shirts are not random. If you look at the numbers on the phone the spell out the Geoff clones name. Also, near the end there are 3 more Geoffs on the second floor. The book Jeff is reading is Johnny Cash's autobiography. Just so much to see. Great reaction!!
Numbers on the shirts spell out their names. Jeff 05333, Geoff 43633, Daryl 32795, Jeoph 53674. Videoed at Indian River Correctional Institution in Vero Beach Fl. The Prison closed in 2012 and is not active.
Four different shirts which came with red thread so his wife Kathy used a sharply to colour them black. It was just Geoff and Kathy who did everything here no other crew involved ❤🏴
Awesome reaction as always guys. The numbers on his shirts match the numbers on the phone keypad and spell out each of their names.... Jeff, Geoff, Daryl and Jeoph. Geoff learned to play the harmonica in 2014 when he played Elwood Blues a few times at Universal Studios Orlando. Can't wait for you guys to react to Voiceplay's new video... Drunken Sailor. It is so hilarious and fun.
@@307Reacts it was all Geoffs wife Kathy's idea for the representation of numbers on each shirt . She went out & bought all the shirts & even ripped the sleeves off the one.
Orchard is Home Frees Distributer Only . Orchard had an exclusive deal with Walmart which got their CD's into The major retail store. Home Free has a Lawyer that is Top Shelf and he use to work for Sony. He knows exactly what to watch for. Home Free Records is their Label . They keep their own Copy rights own their own Music through that. That is all I remember off the top of my head. #NotificationGang
Trying to compare versions is always a problem Geoff's videos are often more theatrical, like mini musicals, as with VoicePlay, so are in a different league from straightforward music videos. Love your reactions.
If you're up for more soulful Geoff, I strongly recommend his rendition of "Ain't no sunshine", because it would be offensive to call it a mere cover. That's how good it is!
Thank you both for another great reaction to Geoff. He really went of the rails with this one. I think he needs to check his breaks because there's no stopping him. Break Check Geoff is what I call him. His voice is deeper than Johnny's & I like his cover better than Johnny's original. Sorry Johnny but Geoff outdid you.
Great review guys- I’m not a musician I’m just a guy but I can match Jeoff note for note on this song. I’ve must have sang along with him 150x and you guys pointed out stuff I didn’t know about even though I’ve been doing it. Well done!
From what I've been hearing Home Free is on an automatic blocking/claiming list ( basically ). However, a quick dispute of the claim usually clears it up. That's been the way it HAS been working, from all I'm hearing. Weather or not that's going to continue to be the case or not, with the new label or production company I don't know. Geoff is, as always, insaneadiculous. I love this version of Fulsom. Not more than the original, but in different ways. Which is what a really good cover should do, IMO. Fun reaction, as usual, guys. See you in the next one!
First - I can see part of the Folsom Prison property from my house and second why is he in jail in California State Prison if he shot a man in Reno Nevada - this has always bugged me.
I'm going to be that guy. Does anyone not see the hubris going on of late with Geoff. Foust does Misty Mtns with Peter Hollins and Geoff has to record it. HomE Free does Folsom Prison and Geoff has to do it. Home Free does Country Roads and Geoff has to do it. Millions of songs to cover and he tries to redo what Home Free and Tim do. Just an observation.
I went to Spotify and in a few moments counted up 32 different covers of the song including those by Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard, The Highwaymen, Charlie Daniels, Jerry Reed, etc. before I got bored. That did not include any of the instrumental versions. Just an observation. You going to go out there and make that same comment about all of them? I was unaware that there was a rule that once somebody else (that you like) covered a song that no one else could, even with a completely different arrangement. I’m sure musical artists all over will be interested to know that. Yeah, I’m gonna be that person.
Home Free did Country Roads 4 years ago, Geoff did it 2 years ago. Peter Hollens did Misty Mtns 7 years ago, Geoff did it 2 years ago ( and got twice the views). Not like he was in direct competition.
"Sir, I don't know if you knew this, but jake brakes are prohibited within city limits." The Best Line EVER!!!! great reaction fellas. Stay Blessed!

This was so very awesome. Geoff is so very talented. He sings, he plays harmonica and does push-ups! Wow! Love your reaction!

All of his lows were chest F#1, which is is lowest sustainable chest note currently! That’s why it’s so resonant 😊
Someone mentioned Geoff's hair being "Fuzzy" looking.....they said it was due to the humidity on set!!! Thank you Guys for your reaction!!!!
Each number represents the name based on the numbers on the phone. So you know which Geoff is Jeff or Daryl 😂😂
Don’t forget Jeoph❤
@@Starrynightdiner I couldn't remember if it was jeoph or Goff that was the fourth one 🤣🤣

Great reaction! By the way... Voiceplay has a new cover out, What do we do with a drunken sailor

Matt.....as i said to Cesar about HIS beard.....sometimes you NEED to prune the hedge, for it to come back more luxurious.....>^^^^
Did you miss Geoff's #s 5, 6, and 7? They were in the back, on the second level toward the end of the song.

Yeah, watching it back, it was definitely like a 3-5 note jump…. It just sounded way bigger. First-time ears got me 🤷🏻😆
