Ode to the Philips N4520. 115 meter of Maxell tape show off.

This video was recorded at 29-12-2011. After really hard head cleaning the recorder plays and records as new. The sound track you hear is on the taped but its a dubbed mp3 in the video. It is on the tape though. I didn't have my digital recorder available, but believe me the quality is very high. Maybe ill do a real N4520 sound output recording soon.

Is this a direct drive - reels & capstan ? How is the capstan speed controlled - quartz ?
