@Yqe- In general the mc speedrun community considers a lot of features not glitches (e.g. killing the dragon with one arrow), if they are a consequence intended mechanics / easy to do accidentally. I agree this is definitely weird and you can argue it’s a glitch, but on the other hand, who said peaceful mode isn’t supposed to have blazes? Maybe peaceful mode is intentionally supposed to scare the player for 1 tick near mob spawners? Both the spawner and difficulty are working as intended, after all.
4:00 Just to point out: What you looked at there are the 1.8+ experience level requirements. The 1.2 requirements are found lower down the page and it takes 1725 XP to get to level 30 and 4625 XP to get to level 50. Only about 700 off from the 1.8 value, but there's still quite a difference.

Holy crap someone actually did it. Very cool use of the debug log and LattiCG to minimize RNG factors. Why didn't you fill in the area around the blaze spawner though?
that's not how spawners work, they attempt to spawn, if it fails it fails, it won't force the spawn on unobstructed space. This is the same reason why in modern rsg players empty the surroundings of it
@DarkSpirit64 That's not really true. The reason why rsg players remove obstructing blocks is to get more spawns per cycle, but Eliotex can only make use of one. Different thing. I don't know anything technical about 1.2, so for all I know it's different in that version. But for recent versions that I am familiar with, you can block off all but one spawning space from a spawner and the spawner will continuously try to force a spawn in that one spot every time the spawner spins all the way up. It normally only takes a few seconds to find it. So overall you would get a single mob spawn about once every thirty or forty seconds, but always in the same spot.
From a really quick look at the 1.2 spawner code, filling in spawning spaces would have no effect besides preventing them from spawning in that location if it was chosen. Blocking a spawning space neither tries it again in the same spawn cycle, nor does it prevent that location from being chosen to attempt a spawn at.
You shall be known from now on as The Legend, no other should wear that name for only you can represent it properly. Said this, amazing video and concept overall
Yes, you can see I'm in creative mode with a blaze rod and a spawn egg in my inventory. I had to test some stuff in a different World and used the clip for the enchantment thing
It was a shame when Mojang decided to downgrade the Cleric eye of Ender trade to an Ender pearl trade. They could still change things so that a Cleric with an Ender pearl trade also sells eyes of Ender (or better, blaze powder) when the difficulty is set to peaceful though. 🤔
I think it's an unintended feature. The mob spawner works kind of intentionally by spawning mobs every 10-40 seconds. The game is set to peaceful and therefore despawns the blazes in the next tick as it should be. The 1 tick time window is not intended tho
Well yeah kind of, but I think you would be allowed to submit a run with this "glitch" to the official glitchless leaderboard. I dont know for sure though
@Eliotex still cool though. Since the alternative would be looking for a fully filled end portal/filled eyes only on a chunk border But that should work in all versions at least
@fallen_cookie interestingly, this only works in 1.9 and newer versions. In version 1.0-1.8 the game checks, whether a player fills in the last eye to light up the portal
Someone already checked the code and no, blocking off the other spawns, does not increase the chance to get a spawn in front of you. Mining out the spawner does not change nothing
@@Eliotex it also feels like the "hype" kind of wore off, over the last months. Lets hope for some actually good updates from mojang^^. Eitherway, keep on doing those awesome videos! I really enjoyed watching :)

@@Eliotex mojang made placing glass on beacon beams run on a separate thread if you lag the game and cause an autosave chunk unload to trick the game into unloading that same chunk, the newly opened thread will have to load the chunk again. this means you basically load a chunk on a separate thread now this separate thread chunk loading can then be chained into other block events and stuff. usually you direct it into an observer line hooked to an update suppresser, causing the observes to clock eachother mililons of times per second, since when loading chunks pre1.13 tileticks happen instantly (this was added to cause watefalls to already have fallen down when creating new chunks). this will cause the other thread to continue "living" through that observer line, allowing you to tap into its block update spam basically forever (until a server restart). what you now basically have is a constant tick spammer on another thread than the main game thread, meaning you can trigger code in between other code lines on the main thread. one use case of this is to make it point into specific contraptions that lie on specific "border" parts of a chunks save location. you can cause different threads to update the same block but to different block types. if you get lucky this allows you to basically create any block in the game, including end portals. it is however literally the most difficult glitch in the game to pull off, and took years of research and multiple people to do. its also obviously glitched and cant be used in a glitchless run (however i guess one can say that being able to kill blazes in peaceful is already a glitch)
