Im assuming his fans didnt really like that (understandably) so there was a commotion online. Personally, i just chalk it up to i land, i mean, they were competition to each other on a survival show, its only natural that it would take some time to adjust into forming a normal friendship.
Nowadays , Ni-Ki is being comfortable and didn't show his shyness. It's a great thing itself.

My first impression of Ni-Ki was him being a quiet and somber person.
