Love the tips. One addition that I would like you to try. I bought the Hover X1 drone (current price under $400) and now I use it MORE than either my DJI drone or my GoPro. It records audio in synch with my phone and it negates the sound of the drone itself in the audio. Get a good mic to attach to your phone an you are all set. You can set it to follow you OR aim backwards at you while you are walk. It really works as a "camera crew" as long as you are not walking through a dense forest.
There is no need to worry about synching audio at all. It only flies a max 30-40 feet in the air, but that works for me 70-80% of the time for what I need in a drone. It is HALF the weight of my DJI Mini 3 (only a 1/4 of a pound). It literally fits in my jacket pocket and I can fly it without being noticed too much because people think it is just a little toy, not a drone. Also, the upload process to the phone is FAST. I have the content on my phone in seconds.
The only negatives I can think of are that it does not work very well with low light, It is only good for maybe 5 minutes of continuous usage (maybe 10 minutes total on the battery, but it does not have expandible storage, so you have to keep moving stuff off of the memory), it does not record vertically and it does not record at 4K (only 2.7K, which is good enought for me). Other than that, it is amazing for me!
I am in Carlsbad, CA. Let me know if you want me to show you what it does. Would love to collaborate with you on a video if you like. Would love to see how your creative vision could work with this product.
