From the footage, it looks like the Helipack can be used off of a mushroom. And I know for a fact you can get even more height by using the Quarterstaff weapon as the apex of your Helipack jump. So by combining the mushroom, Helipack, and Quarterstaff, you can get the kind of airtime that'll make an NBA player blush.
When u so end up getting it, just a tip, go mainly for side missions before doing the main quests, you’ll be so geared up you’ll fly through the main missions and even after you finish the main missions you’ll have tons of more side quests to do I’ve only had it for 2 days and already have 24 hours on it
@@W0LF3LS yeah i just got it and I've got about a day an an hour or two on it. That's kinda what i try to do with open world games like this anyways so it plays out in my favor
Probably been stated, but you do not have to walk Frankendog all the way back to Lobo. You can fast travel. It will look like FD is still back at the tower, but when you interact with Lobo, he will be there wagging his mechanical tail.
I totally fast traveled back to lobo after getting the dog and had no problems handing in the quest!!... The dog icon looks like you left him behind, but if you talk to lobo the quest completes.
At 1:33 he says that you can not teleport after grabbing Frankendog but you actually can but he won't apear till the cutscene and it will work just as normal! 😃
I actually got to Sol before doing this, but it required the use of the infinite jump hight glitch with the fist weapons that allow you to break through walls(cant remember the name of them). It is hard to explain without video, but I will try. This is done on xbox for me, so controller. 1. Equip the gloves 2. Jump and melee once mid jump 3. Quickly hit right D pad and open the melee radial menu, unequip the gloves and equip them again 4. As soon as you leave the menu, double tap melee again and, if done right, you will melee again and jump a little higher than before 5. Repeat steps 2 - 4. If you do it fast enough, you will continue to jump higher and higher. I did this across from the aerodrome until I was high enough to then glide across the water.
So I just picked this game up, I didn't know about both those items, till I made it to the island the old fashion way. Got to the highest cliff and glided to the island.
I really love all your high quality videos, but I also just want to find all these things myself. It's the first time i've had this feeling in a game. Otherwise I would just watch videos like this to find everything faster. But I promise to watch all your videos at a later date. :)

Oh yeah, I do have one question about the overall game. Not sure if it's spoiler related, so I'll ask below: When I complete the main quest line do I automatically jump to NG+ or is there a final decision you get to make to then start NG+? Asking because I want to do the story and then side quests/explore more thoroughly.
There is a final decision you can make, but make a save before you do so just incase. Always a best practice with these sorts of games incase something bugs out.
I got to Sol by using fungai to jump up into the mountains, then to get a boost in height as I glided into the area. It takes some platform manipulation, but it can be done without any of these items.
You don’t need to compete anything before meeting sol. It’s a little tricky but if you have the mushroom jump (might not even need) and the glider, you can reach sol.
I had already glided over to the aerodrome and got the suitcase. I had no idea it was a flying briefcase. still don't have the helipad or blimp as I'm writing this.
You can just go there to start the chain as that's what I did ..there is no prompt to start the quest line... also the dog will follow you even if you ride your mount 👍
a few things wrong with this video, 1: you most certainly can just fast travel back to lobo after climbing the tower and interacting with the dog, just fast travel back to her and talk to her itll trigger the cutscene and you can get your heli-pack, 2: to use the heli-pack you do not need to hold jump you just tap it, holding it activates the glider after the heli-pack ends, which interferes with the insane jump-height combo that you can do with it
Well that's strange, I did both parts but I cannot see the vehicle on the location - on your vid it was showing up when you gave Lobo the anchor, for me the space behind Lobo I empty even after anchor is provided... I’ll check again after reboot today or tomorrow but I'm a bit afraid Its some sort of a bug preventing me from using this vehicle
The annoying thing is that the helipack doesn't even truly fly, unless I missed something, I was hoping it would act similar to when used by enemies or a better levitate.

@@LegacyGamingUS yeah when I went over to where the trunk was there was an interact prompt but instead of picking up the item my character started using it but it's not in my inventory. Hopefully the console patch can fix it
i just used the rock area right after the nuclear facility, glided then used levitate to get the shore line. since levitate lets you hover over the tar
Blimp is locked into one area like mech so pointless and why restrict it even googlider is restricted in open world should be available anywhere it’s my only complaint otherwise really enjoying the game
The blimp flies. The helipack gives you a significant lift and if you combine that with swapping into photo mode before it falls, you can keep flying upwards.

I think they should make the mounts a lot faster. I put a decent amount of points into agility and I'm already outrunning them

Amazing did a full ran and missed that. I will definitely check that out in my new game + run.
I got to the aerodome without the gullblimp, its not exactly necessary but makes it a whole lot easier lol.
So I just got both the helipapack and magic case and in my opinion can definitely say the magic case is SO much better in terms of utility.
Really? O find the helipack much easier to control as you can't just stop or boost when you want to with the magic case

I found that dog yesterday d and I was not sure what it was for. good to know I can get a new bad ass back pack!!!

I didn't walk the dog. Fast travelled straight away and it worked for me.
I got the magic case without the helipack or the blimp... hell I still don't have either of those items, just my magic case & my glider!
Well just got the helipack but does not work no mater how high I jump off...also running version 1.0 so I'm guessing it's broken
You can get sol using just murshrooms and Mario hopping all the way across
Mushrooms don’t sink in the tar stuff
You can use Levitate to get up north too. That"s how I got across.
I hate that helicopter backpack it takes away ur double jump than u don't even really fly but the enemies with it can fly around its dumb

You can abuse entering and exiting photo mode to keep flying

It’s a fun 20-30 hour game. Some people have managed to sink 100+ into it. Definitely something there to enjoy
How does the jetpack work
You get a slight hover and incline when used. Equip it on your back and then hold the jump key/button
You don’t need the gaulblimp to get the suitcase i have the suitcase I don’t remember how I got it but I did I do remember that I didn’t use the blimp
My only gripe is I wish parrying didn't have a delay.
you don't have to walk the dog - if you just port to Lobo and speak to her, the dog will appear and quest will complete
I fast traveled on this quest on the PS5 edition and it was fine, perhaps it's only on the PC edition? But that makes no sense.

The helipack is not working at all in my game and I am almost at 100 percent.

Flying is a misleading word. All these ‘flying’ mounts just either glide or float for like three seconds.
