When Eddie Bravo was explaining his second match vs Royler.G to Joe Rogan (A black belt who trains with Eddie for years), it allows a black Belt like Joe to actually see what was going though Eddies head. Before that not even Joe knew the depth of Eddies mastermind. His mind is free flowing and he is able to make split second decisions and changes of the highest difficulty...I don't think any other martial art is this far evolved when looking at the pure technical aspect. I went to state for HS wrestling and state winners are amazingly quick, strong, and are able to pull off sequential moves in a very fast time while perfectly controlling their opponents. This ability puts that to shame since that sequence changes several times and there is no preparation or game plan that could help you...You have to come up with another master mind attack or plan and if that doesn't work in the next 2 seconds you have to do it again and again etc...WHILE EACH ONE OF THESE TECHNIQUES WOULD BEAT ANY NATIONAL CHAMPION...SO if anyone has not watched the matches Eddie had with Royler Gracie, watch the first one and then watch the second one while Joe Rogan is talking to Eddie and you will be lost for words.

No gi bjj and Submission grappling isn't supposed to be cozy or comfortable. Rash guards and shirts are like sponges and hold the sweat in and makes you smell faster , that isn't sanitary! Rash guards are not more sanitary than grappling shirtless. Grappling shirtless is more sanitary than grappling in rash guards. Rash guards look ridiculous on guys . Also rash guards make guys look weak and are a hindrance ! Rash guards hinder MMA fighters too!

I think both are important. A lot of people crap on gi because they say it's not realistic. If a dude has a collar on his shirt/jacket it's pretty much over. Also, pants can be used to assist sweeps.
