@@sparklecaulipurple1057 well it of course can be tough at times but I think if your interested you should at least give it a try or shadow. It’s rewarding when you have a nervous kid come in and you can help alleviate some of their fears. Also a lot of pediatric offices also specialize in special needs which can also be rewarding knowing that your patience and understanding helped made them and their parents day slightly easier a lot of parents are extremely appreciative when a good assistant takes the time to listen to their fears and helps talk both them and their child through the process. Kids also come in very young and hate coming to the dentist but with time and repetition they do much better which is also rewarding knowing you were a part of helping them grow at their dentist appointments. Kids also get prizes at the end to let them know they did a good job and they love that. Not to mention kids can be down right hilarious. I’m not saying it’s an easy task but if it was it wouldn’t be as rewarding. I believe it takes a special kind of person to work in the pediatric dentist field so if you feel like you would fit that then your talents will be well sought after and appreciated!
