- Rosa 'Cecile Brunner' is a large, thornless rose. It blooms in a profusion of soft pink flowers once a year in early Spring. To learn more please watch the video. For information on many more types of plants please visit www.designwithplants.com
I've felt in love with this rose and started growing it more than 35 years ago in my country, Vietnam, then in North Carolina, US, and now in Texas. It's doing fine over winter in NC with several snow times a year and bloomed again every spring. I moved to TX more than 7 years now and have 2 of these rose plants in big pots on my patio. They've done well in TX too. They flowered a few times per year here. My Cecile Brunner is always with thorns, but I still love it, especially, its sweet perfume! Your fence with Cecile Brunner is magnificent!
Hello nguoi Vietnam!!!
I didn’t know they can grow in VN too, in the country side I didn’t get to see too many rose bushes before coming to America :0
That garden space must smell divine.
I enjoyed your video. Our have lots of aphids. It takes away from bringing in a bouquet once a week. Ours blooms / grow year round in Metro New Orleans area. 8 feet tell absolutely beautiful with very nice rose scent.
So much to tell u about this rose and Arcata, CA!!! BTW - GREAT presentation!
that all fence is amazing!! Cecile is a small but amazingly beautiful rose.
Small bloom or a small plant? This climbing rose can grow up to 8m!
In Southern California Cecile Brunner climber blooms year-round. The climbing variety of Cecile Brunner is the bougainvillea of the rose world and often needs heavy pruning.
Beautiful! Thank you for so much great information. 🌸
My mom also plant this kind of roses... 🌹🌹
❤️
It is pronounced Cecile (sə-SEEL), not Cecil. It is a female name, equiv. to English name Cecilia.
I can see why they would pronounce it as such, the Cecil hotel for example is widely known to be pronounced like the guy in the video. People see the spelling and assume it maybe same pronunciation.
Does it matter where direction it’s planted.
Hi, I am in southern cali and mine bloom all year long, just fyi😊
Hi I’m in southern cal also. I just planted one in a large container. How is yours doing?
