Man, their really giving there all for this guy. Even his villain song makes me think he’s still got a point.

Because there really are a lot of people who just are asking too much and too unreasonable that makes anyone mad anyway. But the female part has people in reverse society so they’re somehow both heroes just different context
I actually love the arc they're giving him in this movie. My favorite villain is one who, over the course of the movie, gets more and more deranged until they can't hide that they're evil anymore and they snap in the third act. I get MAJOR vibes of that from this guy, and I'm so excited to see everything unfold on the screen.

A villain song… that sounds more like a casual happy song from the protagonist? It is... acceptable.

This song is great for this particular antagonist because at this point he is still a hero. Only at the end of the song that you can sense the tone starting to shift just like the character.
Oh from just that little snip im already sold on this villain. Sure normally they get the dark, dramatic but compelling songs, but this has me toetapping headbobing just from a few notes. Kind of gives a "no more mister nice guy" vipe if you focus on the lyrics. Or after hearing it a second time it gives a "im done taking your bulls*t and im breaking lose now" like a people pleaser thats had enogh and breaks free to do what they want, thats just my brain going on a tangent here with how the music is and the lyrics with it.
Plus it dosent hurt at all that chris pine knows how to sing.

@@nickjvideos The last Disney villain song was “Mother Knows Best.” Tamatoa isn’t technically a villain, since he’s only in one scene and serves as an obstacle for Maui to get his fish hook in order to defeat Te Ka (the real villain).

She is not evil but just angry and misunderstanding because her heart was stolen and she is turned out to be Te Fiti, hence, she is just the main antagonist. So, Tamatoa is the true villain of Moana, even though he is not the main foe at all, and he is the last official Disney Villain that we already got. And now King Magnifaco will be the new official Disney Villain.
@@thureinhtet6528 I’d argue Te Ka is more of a villain than Tamatoa is. One wants to destroy the world because the Heart was removed, and the other is a hoarder and has a smaller, less-disastrous conflict with Maui.
Chris Pine is quite honestly one of the last people I’d ever expect to star as a villain, mainly because he often played heroic characters in the past. However, I’m already getting the feeling that he’ll be rocking the house as Magnifico, and this could be the beginning of him having a more diversified career.

He has done a few villainous roles. They just aren't the ones he is most well known for. He was Darwin Tremor one of the 3 psycho assassin brothers in Smoking Aces, Roger Karos in Stretch, Rex Hanson in Horrible Bosses 2, a cheating Prince in Into the Woods, and Toby Howard in Hell or High Water.

The best part is that it doesn't have the same evil vibe of a Disney villain song but it has the vibe of a hero song which reinforces his two faced nature even more

Holy hell! I think I've died and gone to heaven! I thought Chris Pine would have a crappy singing voice, but he's got an awesome voice, and this song fits his style perfectly. And honestly, I can say that from the small snippet of the song we've gotten, Magnifico is just fed up with being his peoples' errand boy. Doing everything to make his people happy, granting their wishes left and right, and never getting anything in return for it. He gives them prosperity and homes to live in and all they ask for is more and more. It's actually really interesting to see a villain that is vulnerable and real. I can empathize with him and really, there are times where I just want to belt out "and this is the thanks I get!" I think this is going to be awesome! Disney is back in full force.

So the “villain” is portrayed as someone who supports moderation & self control & who is generous but he is a villain because of his status & power alone, meanwhile if absolutely everyone was given his power and their wishes unlimited they could easily cause oppression violence &!destruction. It would be cool if this villain ended up the her & this girl even though she has good intentions achieves his power and grants everyone wishes without limit which ends in major catastrophe.
I saw one time a quote that said "good intentions can often lead to unintended consequences". It would be interesting if that was the case with our protagonist here, she have good intentions for the wishes but she would accidentally cause consequences because of some of those wishes
“You give them a hand, and they want the whole arm” really encapsulates this movie. The guy grants literal wishes to people, but the MC gets mad he doesn’t grant every single one of them unconditionally. I really hope they do not make the king some kind of deranged villain, because from what he did from all the trailers and clips, he is reasonable.

I would love to see Valentino and magnifico sword fencing so it’ll give asha plenty of time to save the world also I would love to see Valentino pantsed the king by cutting his belt area with the sword so his pants would drop the king white brief underwear would be reveled in humiliation and everyone starts to laugh at that and his pants would be down during the whole final battle even in defeat
