I don't know if you know this or not but this is how Hyunjin got into the kpop industry (as he narrated it himself): he was once shopping with his mother, and then a JYP employee approached him, grabbed his arm, and handed him his business card. He thought it was some sort of fraud, but he went and that was when his journey started with JYP lmao. He had zero skills by that time, but he trained really hard for 2-3 years before actually making it. He's amazing!

When he came back the JIP director asked him " what would you like to do " and Hyunjin said " your choreography " . I just want to give you a little bit of a look into the choreography that Hyunjin made here, since everything, from the dance itself, through the song chosen, outfit chosen, tiding up his hair and even the props like mirror and the rose - all these things were his idea. Play with fire is a story about beautiful prince (everyone's been refering to Hyunjin as a "prince" since the school) who is considered as just beautiful and elegant and perfect but he has a wild animal inside and his heart is full of fire, especially while he dances. That's why he looks so messy at the end, because every person has flaws and imperfections. At the beginning when he pops and chokes himself it's his true imperfect and wild nature coming out of him, breaking through the "perfect prince shell" and at the end he's choking himself again, silencing that wild nature that can't be released and he just walks away back to his schedules and normal work, back to trying to be perfect in the society and industry that requires perfection in every aspect. It's a dance about passion that burns within him but can't be fulfilled in the way he wants. He showed in this choreography his love for dance, the way he immerses himself into music and dance, trying to convey all the emotions he feels. He said that dancing is a language for him, that he's not that good with words, but he conveys his emotions and thoughts through his dance and paintings. This is his own story he wanted to tell us after four months of being silenced and hidden when he was forced to take a break. That people, no matter how perfect on the outside, can never be equally perfect inside and that we all have emotions that sometimes control us and make their way to the surface, no matter how hard we try to hide or tame them. We all like to play with fire.
wow, thank you so much for helping me understand everything better ❤I know that my face sometimes can look like I'm preying on him or sth like that, and I do admit that there's moments when he's a bit to much for me cuz let's be honest - I'm looking at a very attractive person but what makes me be so drown to him is not his body or face but the way he's dancing, the way he delivers ever single move, I'm immediately attracted to someone when that person sways me with his beauty of dance. I remember I once watched his freestyle to "Say something" at the beginning of my journey and I started to cry, cause it was so emotional. I feel like he has the ability to translate music to emotions by his body moves, if that makes sense. But at the same time he perfects every move to the point it's impossible to repeat it. And I completely understand your struggling, cause he's the most beautiful man I've ever seen in my life 😍 But this year he's been chosen as 2nd most handsome man in the whole world by TC Candler (1st was Henry Cavill, 3rd Timothee Chalamet and 4th Chris Hemsworth), so it's understandable 😌

In my country I've heard about TC Candler's ranking long before I even heard about Stray Kids 😅 They all are extremely beautiful, but Hyunjin's beauty is something else and it's hard to focus on anything else, that's why he said many times that his favourite moments of his perfomances are when he dances with his hat on, cause people can focus on his dance instead of his face and that's why he tried to cover his face with the hair all the time in this video as well 🥲 You may heard from others that he hates being called a visual, but it's not entirely true. He likes to be appreciated for his visuals, because everyone like that, but NOT ONLY for that, that's why he worked so hard on his dancing and he managed to debut as main dancer along with Lee Know after only 2 years of training (while Lee Know was already a dancer even before becoming a trainee).
