I’m not a new quilter. However, as I get it older, my skills are not as good. I hate matching seams so I’m always looking for beginner quilts. Thanks Hannah. What a good sport.
Both of you have just pushed me over the line! The be a quilter line. I have been watching quilting videos for about a year and buying fabrics that I loved; no rhyme or reason, just that I loved them. The terrors come in trying to START QUILTING! Watching you go through the process of picking fabrics that actually go together (go together is actually the key here) made me love the fabrics! Not the other way around! I can’t wait to see you start making the quilt. Watching this series will be the reason I can keep checking off the fears which have gripped me over the last year, and pushing me further across the ‘be a quilter’ line. Just noticed that that quality in the videos has improved exponentially! I saw a few labeled a year ago compared to this one from 6 months ago and the lighting, sounds, and editing is so much better. Really great job whoever is working on that!

Hannah, welcome to the wonderful world of quilting! I started my quilting adventure 2 years ago and I have to say I am HOOKED! I absolutely love making quilts. I wish I had found this super easy and great looking quilt pattern when I started. My FIRST quilt was a HST quilt made from different shades of gray and low volume white/gray prints. At the time I had no idea what low volume was, I just jumped in, without a pattern, cut everything out, sewed it together and made the quilt. BTW, it is still one of my all time favorite quilts.
Really like the striped floral with the green and pink. Also really like the daisy fabric- because it has daisies and it’s pretty!! Would enjoy a sew-along with Hannah. That would be fun. As always, enjoyed watching your video! Thanks Hannah and Donna.

The choices are very good. I personally would have gone for the solid green, because I prefer fabric that is not very busy. Polka-dots are not my favorite. Great video. Would love to watch Hannah make her quilt.

This is the first video that I've seen from your channel, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Having only sewed a couple of quilts, I consider myself to still be in the 'beginner' range. I've watched SO MANY quilting videos from SO MANY different channels, and this is the first one that plans to show a beginner perform the whole process of concept, design, and sewing a quilt. I appreciate the way that the whole process for fabric choice is shown and your reasoning for accepting or declining a fabric. That is the kind of advice that will assist me with my own creations. I LOVE the premise of this video...it's very appealing to me and fills a niche that I didn't realize needed filling. I also love Hannah's eye for design and color! I love quilts that showcase the quilter's unique style and art form, because quilting is an art. So, I look forward to following along with Hannah as she learns tips and techniques from the expert. I also look forward to seeing her finished piece of art. I applaud you for this video.
