I first visited the Bahamas 21 years ago. Hated it! Swore I’d never go back. Did a cruise last week that had its Jamaica, Cayman and Cozumel, changed to the Bahamas. I was super pissed! Got off the cruise ship and said wait… a lot has changed! Got a good 3 hour tour from a local taxi. Real good dude! We did a quick stop at the Atlantis. We definitely want to stay at the Royal!! Never thought I would miss the Bahamas or love it so much. I said that to ask: what in the world did you do for 3 weeks? All we want is to stay 3 days. You have any good recommendations that are a must in 3 days span? Restaurants you liked? Thanks!
This resort is so beautiful. I never been to the Bahamas and I would love to go so bad. I know this would be a good place to go for vacation. I know I would have so much fun.
I would absolutely love to but I was only able to dine in a couple of the restaurants and did not get any footage. If you have any questions about the resort or amenities/restaurants, please drop a comment and I’d be happy to answer your questions
Thank you so much for watching! I do think that there are wide pathways in and around the hotels, but there are a lot of hills and once you get to the water park, a lot of stairs. So while I would say that this resort is accessible, not everything is.
I have actually been to Dubai, it is a beautiful city. I visited the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai, and the Burj Khalifa. Unfortunately, the visit was too short to check out everything Dubai had to offer but next time I return, Atlantis is on my list (along with the Dubai Parks and Resorts).
Great question! It completely depends on your taste, budget, and family size. For me, I loved "The Abyss" water slide, "The Dig" aquarium, and the raft slides/lazy river. I hope you have a great vacation!
I’m so sorry I was not able to fit that into this review! Unfortunately, I was staying at one of the other hotels on property so I was not able to do a room tour for this video. If I return, I will absolutely be sure to get it! The average room at the Royal Hotel starts at above 300 per night but if you are looking for a suite, it is likely going to be above 1200 per night.
All of the food was very expensive. Keep in mind that you are on an island at a luxury resort so there are not many options outside of the resort so most, if not all, of your food will be on property. Some of the cheeper options were the snack bars which were part of/near the Aquaventure water park.
It definitely does depend on the restaurant. There are some third-party restaurants, like Nobu, that you know exactly what you were going to be getting but there are also some Atlantis owned restaurants that do vary on quality. One thing that you should absolutely know is that everything at the resort is incredibly expensive... even the fast food at the pool bars. There are some fantastic alternative dining locations outside of the resort but most people don’t leave the resort while they are there
@@jslandstudios thank you :), I have heard that everything is rlly expensive there and that people bring there own food, but I’ve heard of a floor 22 with all u can eat so if I come there I’ll probably only go to floor 22 for food.
Nassau was a Wonderful Island … Then along came The Atlantis Hotel and Resort … How they were allowed to build so High has still not been officially explained. Locals are not allowed to Build more than 4 Floors High . So they must have paid Officials off in order to get through Planning… ITS A BLOT ON THE ISLANDS LANDSCAPE 😢.
Some would say it’s a new landmark, becoming iconic and synonymous with the island. At the end of the day, the Empire State building is just an office building, the Hollywood sign is just sheet metal, and the Burj Khalifa is just an office building/hotel. All of them man-made, and all of them became iconic. I would say Atlantis has helped drive tourism to the Bahamas, in a way that almost no hotel has done in the Caribbean, and has become as iconic as the island itself. But hey, that’s just me.
I'm surprised such a lovely resort would stoop to having a Starbucks instead of proper coffee houses. A bit like having a dried noodle vending machine instead of Nobu.s Pandering to American tastes I suppose
For a resort that probably gets 75%+ of its visitors from America, I think it makes perfect sense. And Starbucks is not just prevalent in the United States, it is the largest coffee chain around the world so it actually is nice for people to see something familiar where they already know what they want. Additionally, having an operator like Starbucks, or even becoming a franchise model, is far less risky than making your own chain and requires far less investment. With a brand like Starbucks, you are having a chain that already has a logistics network for ingredients. It’s just a bit easier
Great question! While I did not show it on this video, the gym facility is not connected to the actual building and is, instead, its own standalone facility. It's state of the art
It's pronounced "Play-to" not "Plat-to". He was a student of Socrates and teacher of Aristotle, and he sketched the location of Atlantis in his book before it disappeared in the ocean. You ignoramus!
I’m on vacation here and this just popped up on my screen 😂
I went on vacation there for 3 weeks and it was very beautiful, I highly recommend it, there are many shops, restaurants, casinos and swimming pools!
Agreed!

Super excited to be able to earn a trip to Atlantis free! I'm so looking forward to this.
This place is beautiful
Thank you for making me relive great memories in that place. Will you do reviews for the restaurants?

I loved this place
Wouldn't that be Plato's, as in the Greek philosopher who first wrote about Atlantis ?
Yes
There goes my Bucket List 😁😁

Wow this video was taken right before everything shut down
The week before!
thank you for your video, would you say its easy for getting around in a wheel chair ?

What room did you stay in and was it nice ?
We stayed in another tower at the resort: the reef. The entire Atlantis resort is beautiful
You should go to Atlanta's the palm Dubai
